Reba McEntire crowns Snoop Dogg the new king of ‘The Voice’

Season 26 of The Voice is underway with the Blind Auditions filming at Universal Studios in Hollywood with Reba McEntire, Snoop Dogg, Gwen Stefani and Michael Bublé sitting in the red swivel chairs as this season’s coaches.

When Reba joined The Voice two seasons ago, she was named the queen of the hit NBC singing competition. Now Snoop Dogg wants to be the king.

In the video, their conversation goes as follows:

Snoop Dogg: “Everyone knows you’re the queen of The Voice. What do I have to do to earn the title of king?”

Reba: “You’re already the king. What do you think?”

Snoop: “For real? I love that you said that.” Then he asks, “What it is about the show that lights you up? And makes you feel some kinda way?”

Reba: “The camaraderie we have. We’re having a lot of fun.”

Snoop: “Ain’t it like a family reunion?”

Reba: “Better.”

Snoop: “Y’all didn’t tell me that the backstories were going to make me cry.”

Reba: “Rip your heart out.”

Snoop: “Yes.” [Then in a small voice] “I’m sorry I didn’t pick you.”

Season 26 of The Voice will premiere on Monday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Stream the next day on Peacock.
