When Gina Carano costarred with Pedro Pascal in The Mandalorian, she shot to international fame. The actress was given a role that suited her, and as a result, she rose to prominence in the series. However, Disney decided to terminate their collaboration with Caano after a series of discriminatory “accidents,” as Carano claims (although it’s a little bit too improbably that all of them were accidents, really), and that led to an ongoing scandal.

Everyone knows what happened and the reason it happened. The actress was sacked (more precisely, her contract was not renewed) because her political and ideological views did not correspond with Disney’s ideals. Although there were other controversial comments as well, her anti-woke views and attitudes were the main cause of this. Since then, Carano has filed a lawsuit against Disney in an attempt to get paid back or get hired again.

While there are always two sides to one story, the fact that Carano posted an inappropriate Holocaust comment on social media was a line that Disney did not want to cross, which is understandable. Carano was even offered the chance to apologize publically, but she refused to do it, per her own admission, as you will be able to read.

If you don’t remember, Carano recently participated in an interview with Shawn Ryan on YouTube. The interview was a lengthy one and the actress told her side of the story, as usual, full of contradictions, unconfirmed accusations, and sensationalistic statements that supposedly helped her cause. At the same time, her crusade against Disney showed not even a sign of her admitting that she might have been inappropriate or offensive towards others, which is more than annoying really. It is always difficult to debate with someone who so irrationally defends a position regardless of the counterarguments, so you can picture this as such a debate.

Among the things discussed was her horrible Holocaust post, and – believe it or not – Carano actually refused to apologize for that one, despite the fact that Disney offered her the chance to do so:

“I don’t worship your business… And I have done plenty wrong in my life that I will need to account for and I will need to apologize for, but at this moment I haven’t done anything wrong. And I am not going to put out one of these fake apologies that you have all everybody else put out that mean nothing, that degrade them, that take away from their words.

Every celebrity who apologized, they took their voice away to where the next time they speak, you know, it doesn’t mean anything ’cause it’s just a copy-pasted regular apology, and I was not going to do that. So I wrote out my own long, big statement. I was like, ‘You want me to make a statement? I’ll make a statement.’

It wasn’t offensive. I understand. I grew up a tomboy. I understand that things are different and people are going through things. It’s a very well-written thing, it’s just I don’t worship your business. And my God is bigger than Disney. So this is where I am at…. Hopefully, those emails get to get printed or read one day and help shed some light on what was going on.”

Yeah, you make a horribly offensive Holocaust comparison (where you compare your six or seven-figure contract termination to the greatest tragedy and mass genocide in history), and you get the chance to apologize, which you rudely refuse, and the problem is not you? All that we can add to this: That she’s really wondering why people are annoyed at her and why she’s become the laughingstock of the Internet.
