Joe Locke’s character, Teen, is anticipated to be pivotal in this quest and might also hold a key connection to the Scarlet Witch.

Teen’s character in Agatha All Along is notably open about his sexuality, with one scene even featuring his boyfriend. Joe Locke’s role is significant for LGBTQ+ representation in the MCU. As an openly LGBTQ+ actor, Locke’s Teen joins other queer characters played by openly queer actors, such as Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie and Brianna Hildebrand’s Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

While the MCU includes several queer characters, many actors portraying them have not publicly identified as queer. Some critics have accused the show of “queer-baiting” and criticized Locke’s portrayal of a “feminine” gay character.
