If you just spent the last week watching Nobody Wants This, you’re probably looking for some new, romantic shows to watch.

Lucky for you, you’ve come to the right place. I am a sucker for a good rom-com, and I’ve rounded up the best shows that give off those butterfly-inducing vibes. Some of these shows are really funny, while others are more dramatic, but all of them have some sort of romance you’ll be rooting for the whole way.
Here they are, in no particular order:
1. Normal People

If you haven’t watched Normal People yet, what have you been doing? As a rom-com fan, this has to be a required watch. It’s more of a drama than it is a comedy, but you’ll probably binge the entire thing in a few days. Not only is the chemistry between Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones through the roof, but it’s also a coming-of-age type of story (starts in high school and then follows them into early adulthood), so you’ll be hooked with their character arcs.
2. Love

Love is an extremely underrated show. It’s a good, easy watch with three seasons, so you’ll have a decent amount of episodes to get through if you enjoy fixating on one show for a while. I should mention that it’s a Judd Apatow show, so if you like his work, you’ll probably like this show. The story’s premise centers on two recently single people—with vastly different personalities—who meet by chance, and the show is essentially their love story (no pun intended).
3. Sex & The City

The best part about Sex & The City is that we don’t just get one love story—we get four. Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda are all single ladies in early 2000s New York, where they must navigate love, sex, and dating in their 30s. Suffice it to say, it is a true masterpiece, and I highly recommend it.
4. How I Met Your Mother

If you want an easy, background noise type of TV show, this one’s for you. It has similar vibes to Friends, with its New York setting and all. Like the name of the show implies, the story is formatted with the main character, Ted Mosby, telling his children the “long story” of how he met their mother.
5. The Good Place

Maybe you liked Nobody Wants This simply because Kristen Bell was in it (because, same). If so, you’ll love The Good Place, where she really shines. Bell stars as Eleanor Shellstrop, who ends up in an afterlife called “The Good Place.” She quickly realizes that she isn’t meant to be there, but manages to hide in plain sight. And don’t worry, theres a romance you can root for, too.
6. Modern Love

If you want to be inspired by true love—literally—this series will be your new obsession. Modern Love is an adaptation of the New York Times Love column of the same name, so all the episodes are inspired by real submissions from real people. It’s similar to Black Mirror in that every episode has a different storyline with different characters, so it’s almost like you’re watching a short movie with every viewing.
7. Never Have I Ever

Universal Television
Devi Vishwakumar is a high school teenager who sets out to do all of the things every 17-year-old wants: find a boyfriend, lose their virginity, and get in with the popular girls. This show was a cute, entertaining watch, and because it was created by Mindy Kaling, I love it even more. (If you liked The Mindy Project, you’ll love this one.)
8. Crash Landing On You

Studio Dragon
This Korean show is life-changing. It’s about a South Korean heiress who ends up in a paragliding accident, where she accidentally ends up in North Korea. There, she meets an army officer who helps her hide, and I’ll leave it at that. Just watch the show.
9. Colin From Accounts

This Australian show was written and created by husband and wife Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer, who also star as the main characters in the show, Gordon and Ashley. The two characters meet because of a car accident and an injured dog, and the series follows their love story.
10. New Girl

If you want to laugh out loud (which I find is rare these days, sigh), this show is 1000% your best call. Zooey Deschanel stars as Jess, who moves into an apartment with three single guys. There are romances, friendships, and hilarious moments that’ll keep you hooked through all seven seasons.
11. Fleabag

I’ve told everyone in my life about this show because I couldn’t stop thinking about it for days after finishing it. It follows the life of Fleabag, played by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, who is kind of a hot mess. She’s dealing with grief, navigating her love life, and figuring out her issues with her family, and it’s all just so, very relatable. Suffice it to say, this show is amazing.
12. Dash & Lily

©Netflix / Courtesy Everett Collection
This is also an extremely underrated show. It’s a romance between two teenagers, Dash and Lily, who leave messages for each other in a notebook as they pass it back and forth around New York City. It’s set during Christmas time, so it’s a perfect watch for the holiday season.
13. Catastrophe

If you like deadpan British humor, you’ll love this show. It follows an Irish woman and an American man in London and their relationship after they hook up during a business trip. It’s a little raunchy, but also super hilarious. A must-watch, for sure.
14. Love Life

If your own love life has put you on a rollercoaster of emotions, you’ll appreciate this series. Each season focuses on a different character, and each episode flashes back to the past to reveal various relationships, flings, and other encounters, showing all that makes up the character’s love life.
15. Sex Education

If you want a show that will have you staying up late into the night, Sex Education is just that. It follows socially awkward teenager Otis, who teams up with bad girl Maeve to provide sex-related counseling to their classmates. No spoilers, but you’ll be rooting for a certain couple to get together the whole time.
16. This Is Us

This Is Us is one of the best shows I’ve ever watched, and I don’t say that lightly. It follows a group of siblings and their lives, with flashbacks of the past to help tell their stories. I know that doesn’t sound that compelling, but it’s just one of those shows where you have to trust me.
17. Desperate Housewives

I don’t know why, but before I watched this, I used to mistake Desperate Housewives with The Real Housewives franchise. I can confirm that they are two vastly different series, and although this one is not a reality TV show, it’s addicting in its own way. Desperate Housewives is about four housewives who seemingly live perfect lives, when that is in fact far from the truth. It’s a really easy watch and has eight seasons, so you’ll spend a lot of time getting to know each character.
18. That 70’s Show

If you want another classic sitcom, this will be your go-to. It’s about a group of teenagers in the 70s, and it’ll make you laugh several times in the same episode. You’ll see young Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher act as Jackie and Kelso, who you’ll love (and at times, hate) to see together. Overall, I loved this show!
19. The End of The F***ing World

©Netflix / courtesy Everett Collection
This show is brilliant. It feels similar in tone to I Am Not Okay With This, although the story is completely different. The End of The F***ing World is centered on the relationship between teenagers James and Alyssa, who go on a road trip with the goal of finding Alyssa’s estranged father. I won’t give away anything, but it’s funny, clever, and, at times, dark.
