Imagery-from-Gladiator Before the long-awaited Gladiator 2 finally arrives in theaters, it’s the perfect time to revisit Ridley Scott’s first Gladiator movie, so where is the original film streaming online? Gladiator 2 is set to be released in theaters on November 22 (or one week earlier on November 15 for UK audiences), so there’s about a month to catch up on the first movie before the sequel comes out. The plot of Gladiator 2 is only tangentially connected to the original movie. It seems more like a stealth remake than a straightforward sequel, as it’s telling a very similar story to the original: a vengeful man is sold into slavery, works his way through the ranks of the gladiator circuit, and prepares to exact revenge on the powerful figures who wronged him. The first Gladiator movie is currently streaming in all its glory on Paramount+.
