Talking about their co-star Selena Gomez, the duo recalled some memorable encounters with her. The Roxanne star recalled his first meeting with Gomez in his dressing room.

“Selena came in and she went, ‘It smells like grandma’s house,” he recalled. Short also chimed in, recounting the time he suggested discussing their net worths, which prompted a quick-witted response from the Rare singer.

“One time, we were all sitting around, and I said, ‘Let’s discuss each other’s net worth… and she was like, ‘hahaha that’s adorable,’” Martin Short recalled noting Gomez’s witty reply, especially fitting now that she has recently become a billionaire.

The actress has also reflected on her bond with Martin and Short, stating that their on-screen “dynamic is actually very truthful in a way.” She further shared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, “They’re hilarious. Everything I do with them is just a fun experience.”

Following the premiere of Season 4, Only Murders in the Building has been renewed for a fifth season. The Season 4 finale is set to release next week, with anticipation growing around the mystery of Sazz’s killer.
