Henry Cavill is a very famous name in the field of fantasy works. He was initially a brand name, having successful outings as Superman in the DCEU and as Geralt in The Witcher.

But at one point, his career went down the drain. He lost both of these roles, seemingly missed out on the role of James Bond (for which he was a favorite), and all his subsequent projects were not even near success.

He got a break after his cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine, in which he played a version of Wolverine from an alternative universe. While the fans loved the appearance, it was a mere cameo with no future implications.

Fans loved it. Since then, everyone has been calling for Cavill to join the MCU again. According to a new rumor, this possibility seems more likely if the rumor is true. Keep reading for more details!

The rumor comes from John Campea who, on his YouTube show, discussed the possibility of Cavill returning to the MCU. The whole show is available for free, so we are going to link it here for you to watch it if you’re interested:

For those who prefer a summary, Campea claims he spoke to some people. He didn’t name the sources, but he insists they are reliable, not just “random social media folks.”

They confirmed that Henry Cavill and/or his representatives talked with Marvel back in August, during the production of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Campea is not sure whether they talked to Feige personally or some of the other Marvel heads, but the topic of the discussion was Cavill’s potential engagement in the MCU in a larger capacity.

We don’t know whether this means that his version of Wolverine will be back (from what we know, Jackman is still on track to reprise his role) in the upcoming Avengers movies, or that Cavill is looking to join Marvel on a more permanent basis as another character, and we know that the fans have been casting him in numerous roles.
