Vision has never been a mainstream comic book hero, but thanks to his MCU story, the character’s popularity has increased and more and more fans are interested in the character played by Paul Bettany in the movies and in WandaVision. The latter miniseries, which was a major hit, is also where Vision met his supposed end in the MCU.

Okay, technically, he died at the hands of Thanos, but he was – sort of – revived by Wanda in WandaVision, but when her fake reality ended up being shattered, Vision also disappeared. But, to the positive surprise of many, Vision will be back once again in his own standalone series Vision Quest.

The project is still some time from premiering, but we are dealing with a highly anticipated project, so every piece of news we can get is worth it, including the rumor we’ve just gotten our hands on and which we wanted to share with you here.

As for Vision Quest, it is a project we don’t know much about at this moment. Filming is set to begin in early 2025 and the show is scheduled for an unspecified 2026 release on Disney+. Jac Schaeffer was initially attached to head the show, but she was replaced by Terry Matalas, which we have already reported on, due to her work on the hit series Agatha All Along.

Paul Bettany is set to reprise his role as the titular character, which is awesome, and we also know that James Spader will be back to voice Ultron once again, after his debut in the second Avengers movie. As said, the plot is currently still a mystery; we know the series will focus on Vision, but to what extent is unknown at this time.

Having said this, such a situation opens up a lot of space for potential rumors and we have recently received one that claims that the show will have a second lead character alongside Vision, a young adult:

As you can see, the source of this rumor is DanielRPK, a very trusted and popular industry insider, so if he’s claiming it, then there is probably some credibility to it, although you should still take it with a grain of salt until Marvel confirms it.

We don’t know who the character might be, but as you can see in the picture above, the fans believe that it could be Tommy, which would make sense seeing how Agatha All Along handled Billy. Of course, more updates are to come so be sure to keep following us for more.
