Tali is a beautiful character with her mask on, however, having seen what her face looks like behind the glass, Mass Effect fans are “obsessed”.

Revealing Tali’s face has always been a polarising subject for the Mass Effect community.

Anyone who’s played the trilogy will know how desperately many players wanted to see Tali’s face, and while we kind of got a peek, we never saw it properly throughout the series.

Will we see Tali again in the next Mass Effect?

Some preferred it that way – it added to the attractive allure of the tech-savvy quarian. But for others, it was a barrier between them and the real Tali.

I won’t open old wounds here; my aim is simply to give a little context as to why seeing Tali’s face is such a big deal for long-standing fans.

Tali’s face reveal isn’t an officially sanctioned one by BioWare and instead comes from the Children of Rannoch mod.

This “quarian overhaul” won’t appeal to everyone because it isn’t “lore-friendly”. However, as its creator, Mithran56 naNuke, has already remarked, there are “plenty of diverse iterations” for customising the game to our specific tastes.

Assuming you’re happy to see Tali’s face, Sherlaine- shared screenshots of Tali on the Mass Effect 1 subreddit.

“I’m a little obsessed with the Children of Rannoch mod, Tali looks so beautiful, I can’t stop looking at her,” they posted.

“This mod is very good looking,” commented Darth_JaSk. “Definitely on my list for the annual replay of the trilogy!”

Despite several fans praising the reveal, there are those who believe Tali’s appearance shouldn’t be tampered with.

User Vash1080 suggested as much, saying, “I think revealing the face was a mistake. It removes an important part from the mystery in the relationship with Tali and even the species.”

“I might be the only one that prefers OG Tali compared to this… Half of her allure came from the fact that we couldn’t see her face and the mystery associated with that,” Takhar7 added.

Even though they’re not in agreement, every comment confirms that we’re each “obsessed” with Tali’s appearance for differing reasons.
