Boyz II Men is one of the most famous and well-established bands from the 1990s who have already won a few Grammy awards at the time.
The bandmate Wanya Morris recently revealed the ‘best advice’ they received from the late pop star Michael Jackson, according to the People Magazine’s exclusive report.
As per the publication, Wanya Morris said, “‘Know your worth’ was the best advice that we’ve ever gotten, and it was from Michael Jackson.”
The meetup occurred when the group collaborated with Jackson to sing the background vocals on his song HIStory, which was part of his HIStory: Past, Present, and Future, Book I.
While sitting in a backroom Jackson had a conversation with the Boyz II bandmates including Wanya, Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Michael McCary.
“(We) literally talked for hours,” Wanya recalled.

“After we did our part, we went to this back room where Mike was set up and he had a board — like a visual vision board,” he continued.
Detailing Jackson’s advice, Wanya further said, “He was like, ‘Listen, this industry is crazy and they’ll use you. They’ll run you up and down, up and down the road.’”
He continued on to say, “‘And you won’t even be able to understand what’s happening until you sit back later and are able to look at it and see the benefits of the fruits of your labor.’”
“‘And that’s when you want to realize that you’ve done the right thing. But the only way to do that is to know your worth and to never take less than what you feel your worth is.’ And that was it,” the 50-year-old bandmate said concluding MJ’s advice.
Since then the group has not stopped and received immense popularity in pop culture.
They even got the honor of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and performed various times in Las Vegas but unfortunately in between the journey it lost one of its members, McCary in 2003.
The band is all set to return in August with four shows at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
