Season 26 of NBC’s singing competition show The Voice has revealed a new winner from Team Bublé, but fans are not happy with the results of the vote.

Season 26 of The Voice has wrapped and a new winner has been crowned: Sofronio Vasquez.

This cycle saw two new coaches joining the panel: singer Michael Bublé and rapper Snoop Dogg. Sofronio was one of two finalists, along with Shye, who were on Team Bublé, which makes this his first win on his first run as a Voice Coach.

Some fans of the NBC singing competition show were not thrilled by Sofronio being chosen as the winner, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their complaints about the results, with some believing that there is “No way he was the best” this season.

The winner of The Voice is determined by fan votes and they take home a grand prize of $100,000, a recording contract, and a trophy. The results of the vote were as follows: Jeremy Beloate from Team Snoop in 5th, Danny Joseph from Team Reba in 4th, Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen in 3rd, and the top two from Team Bublé, Shye and winner Sofronio Vasquez.

Sofronio is the first Filipino and first Asian winner of the competition, and had an impressive run starting with a rare four-chair turn during Blind Auditions.

Some fans had their money on other contestants, with one writing: “Such bs, Sydney or Shye should’ve won in my opinion,” while another claimed: “Jeremy got massively hosed.”

Others raged about the results, posting their scathing takes on X. One user claimed: “1st of all, too many fake people that think that he won. He wasn’t the best voice or singer,” pointing out the fact that “The last 2 shows his voice cracked, and he couldn’t hit a high note to save his life!,” adding: “Only American Idol produces stars!”

Another user echoed the sentiment, slamming both the winner and his coach, writing: “SORRY but, NBC PICKED [Sofronio] & Bublé to Win because he’s a sore loser & that guy is a horrible singer! Wouldn’t buy anything from him! Reba’s,Snoop or Gwen’s singers were better. Bublé should just leave the show. I Don’t like him at ALL! He’s HORRIBLE! KEEP GWEN, REBA & SNOOP!”

While many expressed their support for Sofronio online, some were not convinced that he was the best. According to one fan, he was just “Another pity winner, great singer, great story, not the best voice.”

Cycle 27 of The Voice is slated to begin in February 2025.
