By every indication, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship appears to be on solid ground.

That hasn’t stopped people from saying the two are going to break up though. The latest prediction of doom for the pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end comes from “The Project” out of Australia, where co-hosts Sam Taunton and Kate Langbroek are not buying the staying power of “Swelce.”

“About time she can break up with her boyfriend and write a new album, I reckon,” Taunton told viewers Monday night, via the New York Post.

Langbroek then joked that if she were a man dating Swift she’d “sleep with one eye open to see if she’s tinkering away at the piano.”

Taunton also expressed his opinion that Kelce and Swift’s relationship is “a sham,” which Langbroek concurred with.

“I always speculate about people in the media,” she said.

Kelce and Swift were first linked together in the summer of 2023, when the tight end “shot his shot” at the singer-songwriter during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason.

In September 2023, with rumors of their partnership swirling, Swift showed up at Arrowhead Stadium for a Chiefs-Bears game, confirming that she and Kelce were an item. Since then, the pair have been going strong, though like we said, Taunton and Langbroek are not the first people to speculate on the sincerity of their relationship or predict its downfall.

It sure seems like all is well though, with Kelce reportedly planning some major surprises for Swift’s 35th birthday, which is on Friday.

“This is a milestone birthday for Taylor so he wants to make it extra special,” a source recently told Page Six. “Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises.”

The couple are also expected to spend Christmas together, though we’ll see if that means Swift will attend the Chiefs’ game in Pittsburgh on Christmas Day.
