American Horror Story: Delictae’s IO Preecher seems like one of Anna’s stalkers, but the mysterious woman might actually be trying to help her.

While a lot of people may be after Anna in American Horror Story: Delicate, IO Preecher might actually be trying to help her. Based on Danielle Valentine’s book, Delicate Condition, the new American Horror Story season has sent its lead character on a rough, tumultuous journey. Unfortunately, no matter what she does to protect herself, things have only gotten worse as the story has progressed.

For this chapter in the series, Emma Roberts has taken on the role of Anna, with Kim Kardashian playing Siobhan, her close friend and publicist. The two work well together, carrying a pointedly dark and twisted American Horror Story season. Also notable is the casting of Julie White as IO Preecher, a character who very well may be an enemy of Anna, but also perhaps the only person she can count on.

A Dark Coven In Hollywood Could Be Going After Anna’s Baby In AHS: Delicate

In American Horror Story: Delicate episode 2, Anna is scrolling a forum when she comes across a series of posts in a conspiracy group. The posts have been shared by an account called “Preecher_spe@ks,” suggesting IO Preecher is the one behind the account. Curiously, the posts Preecher shared with the group coincide with the events in episode 4’s opening scene. One of Preecher’s posts is titled “The Secret Cable of Witches that Run Tinseltown,” while another is about Queen Mary I’s reign.

These posts are deeply relevant to American Horror Story: Delicate episode 4. The episode opens with a scene from the 1500s where Queen Mary I gives birth to a baby she calls a monster before handing it over to two women who appear to be witches. In the episode, the witches are played by American Horror Story regulars Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman. Later, the pair appear in Siobhan’s office, calling themselves the Ashleys – a PR team promising to save Anna’s career after an unfortunate award show incident.
With American Horror Story, everything is intentional, meaning the PR duo are likely the same women from the American Horror Story Queen Mary scene. If they’re part of a coven, this explains how they’ve stayed alive all these years and never aged. Since they have a history of taking babies for their coven, it makes sense that they want to work with Anna so that they can take her baby, too. Anna’s reputation as a Hollywood actress who is up for several awards for The Auteur links her to the possible Hollywood coven Preecher posted about.As for Preecher’s post about Celtic rituals, this hints that Siobhan knows something about the coven and didn’t naively hire the Ashleys to help Anna. The Celtic religion has its origins in ancient Ireland, and Siobhan is very much an Irish name. In the Celtic language, “Siobhan” means “God is gracious” and can be traced back to the early 14th century.

American Horror Story: Delicate Theory – Preecher Was A Former Victim Of The Baby-Stealing Coven

Since Preecher is so invested in Anna’s pregnancy and the covens of witches taking away other women’s babies, it’s possible she may have been one of the women who gave her baby up to a coven. While there haven’t been many clues in American Horror Story: Delicate to support this yet, a similar storyline appeared in Delicate Condition. According to Danielle Valentine’s book, in 1987, Preecher was hired to be a surrogate mother to a wealthy family. Preecher had a really difficult pregnancy that included unusual cravings and odd visions, similar to what Anna is experiencing in American Horror Story: Delicate.

Preecher felt relief when she finally gave birth to the baby and was done with the pregnancy. It is very possible that the baby Preecher gave birth to for the wealthy family was actually given over to a coven. The show could potentially offer a twist on this storyline, revealing that Preecher was having a baby for herself, but was forced to give it up to a coven.

Is Preecher Actually Trying To Help Anna In American Horror Story?

Preecher is one of a few potential stalkers Anna sees wherever she goes. Ivy is one, and even the artist Sonia, who looks exactly like Dex’s ex-wife Adeline, is suspicious. Anna has been experiencing strange occurrences like someone communicating with her on her virtual calendar and dolls of her from her old TV show appearing everywhere. Preecher has had some much darker and more disturbing appearances on America Horror Story than Anna’s other potential stalkers.

However, when Preecher communicates with Anna, it seems like she is trying to warn her instead of harming her. However, Anna doesn’t listen to her warning because she’s too afraid of her. In American Horror Story: Delicate episode 4, Anna receives a bouquet of flowers with a note that reads, “You Can’t Trust Any Of Them.” With all the other evidence, Preecher is most likely to be the one warning Anna, and if she has had a baby taken from her, she’s probably trying to prevent the same thing from happening to Anna.
