A little over a week ago, Amber Heard and Johnny Depp signed a divorce settlement. After a short relationship and a three-month court battle, they decided to settle amicably. Johnny paid Amber $7 million to drop allegations of emotional and physical abuse.  And that’s what the money was for…
Amber Heard’s Friend Blasts Johnny Depp
The actress decided to donate half of this sum to a children’s hospital in LA , where she was a volunteer, and also to donate the same amount to the American Civil Liberties Union.  Unfortunately, the Hollywood star was not entirely fair to his wife and turned the situation to his advantage. He transferred this amount to noble causes chosen by Amber, but in this way he will be able to write off the donated amount from taxes and as a result recover the money from the settlement. The actress’s spokesperson did not leave this without comment and issued an official statement on her behalf.
Amber Heard appreciates Johnny Depp’s zeal in supporting her previously identified charities : the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. She is very pleased with the unexpected donation to these institutions. However, she must advise Johnny that if he wishes to modify the terms of their settlement, he must pay a total of $14 million.  This amount, after taking into account his tax gain, will total the $7 million owed to Amber Heard under the settlement. We also insist that the settlement money be paid in one lump sum and not in multiple installments over time. This is the only way Johnny Depp will demonstrate his willingness to honor his word. Anything else will be seen as speculation by his advisors, Laura Wasser and Patti Glaser, in order to reduce the actual amount owed by half, and to do so under the guise of charity, which Depp has never previously felt he was involved in . – we read in the statement.
Amber has emphasized many times that she is not interested in financial gain. She wants her ex-husband to behave as they agreed.
