Disney had to hire security to protect “Snow White” star Gal Gadot because of her outspoken support for Israel, according to a bombshell new report.
The 39-year-old Israeli actress, who served in the Israel Defense Forces, received an influx of death threats when her “Snow White” co-star Rachel Zegler, 23, shared a pro-Palestinian message on social media, per Variety.
In an August 2024 thread on X thanking fans for their support of the unveiled first trailer for the live-action remake of Disney’s 1937 animated classic, she added, “and always remember, free palestine.”

Zegler’s remarks “made the rounds” at Disney, as Variety put it, reportedly leaving many at the House of Mouse shocked that Zegler would infuse a political statement into her promotion of the $270 million film.
Concern reached such a fever pitch that an executive at Disney allegedly contacted Zegler’s team to convey their distress, while “Snow White” producer Marc Platt reportedly went to New York to speak with the “West Side Story” actress in person.
Death threats against Gadot “spiked” after Zegler’s “free palestine” post, according to Variety, leaving Disney no choice but to pick up the bill for additional security to protect the “Wonder Woman” star.

“She didn’t understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone,” one insider told the outlet of Zegler.
The Post reached out to Gadot’s rep for comment.
The young actress again found herself in hot water over a social media post following Donald Trump’s election victory in November.
“F—k Donald Trump,” Zegler wrote on Instagram, adding, “May Trump supporters…never know peace.”

After intervention from Disney and Platt, a Disney-paid “social media guru” allegedly began vetting the rest of Zegler’s posts prior to the March 21 premiere of “Snow White.”
As for Zegler’s reportedly chilly relationship with Gadot, their falling out may have had less to do with their differing views about the Gaza war than a social media comment Zegler shared earlier this month.
Responding to a post on Instagram after their joint appearance at this year’s Oscars, Zegler called Gadot “a professional pageant queen,” which sources said is “considered a dismissive way to describe a fellow actress.”

Gadot recently said she was “shocked” at the backlash she has received for her support of Israel following the October 7, 2023 massacre.
“I was shocked by the amount of hate, by the amount of how much people think they know when they actually have no idea, and also by how the media is not fair many times. So I had to speak up,” Gadot told Variety in an interview before her recent Walk of Fame Ceremony, which was disrupted by anti-Israeli protesters.
“After October 7th [2023], I don’t talk politics — because who cares about the celebrity talking about politics? I’m an artist. I want to entertain people,” Gadot added. “I want to bring hope and be a beacon of light whenever I say anything about the world.”
“But on October 7th, when people were abducted from their homes, from their beds, men, women, children, elderly, Holocaust survivors, were going through the horrors of what happened that day, I could not be silent.”
