EMMA WILLIS has admitted she “could barely handle being a mum” to her three children, who she shares with husband Matt Willis, in lockdown, as The Voice UK presenter shared her fears about being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic.
Emma Willis, 44, has opened up on her parenting struggles in lockdown, as she admitted that she would have found it hard to handle being pregnant during the coronavirus pandemic. The star shares three children, Isabelle, 11, Ace, nine, and four-year-old Trixie, with her husband Matt Willis, 37.
The Voice UK presenter addressed her concerns after filming her show Delivering Babies, which sees the mum-of-three working four shifts per week at Harlow Hospital as a Maternity Care Assistant alongside the midwifery team.
While recalling her experiences chatting to expectant mothers during the pandemic, Emma said: “Last year messed with all of us, didn’t it, in some way shape or form and to be able to connect with other people and to be given an insight and have the privilege of going on that little adventure with them, it’s a pretty big one.
“And it’s always an honour to witness that. And if I really kind of think about it and put myself in their position, I wouldn’t have handled being pregnant in a pandemic very well at all.
“I could barely handle being a mum of three and not pregnant and let alone your body changing…”

During the earlier stages of the coronavirus lockdown, some hospitals prevented partners from going to antenatal appointments.
The measure was introduced to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
While addressing this rule, Emma said she would have been “a mess” if she had been forced to attend hospital appointments on her own, without her other half Matt.

When quizzed on whether she believed watching Delivering Babies would help some women feel less alone, the presenter divulged: “I hope so.
“Before we started filming this, you try to kind of put yourself in that position.
“And I would have thought I would have been an absolute paranoid mess about having to go and have a baby in hospital more or less most of the time on my own during a global pandemic.”
Emma added to the PA news agency: “And I did think before I met everybody, that would be the one thing that we’re most worried about, because that’s what I would have been most worried about.”
It comes after the former Big Brother host gushed about her children, saying they are “all completely unique”.
She branded her only son “my rainbow boy” in the candid update, in view of her 1.7 million Instagram followers.
Her and Matt’s eldest was seen sporting a Stranger Things T-shirt and ripped jeans.
Ace teamed pink-dyed tresses with a denim all-in-one, while sat on the floor playing on a phone.
