It’s a party of four.
Fox News correspondents Hillary Vaughn and Peter Doocy’s family just got bigger after the couple welcomed their son George Jack Doocy on Wednesday in Washington, DC.
The couple took to Instagram to announce the sweet news.
“Meet George Jack Doocy! Born after 30 hours of labor at 8lb, 11oz and 20.5 inches long – on our fourth wedding anniversary,” the post read. “So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you!”

Vaughn, 35, was reporting on the IRS for the holiday on Capitol Hill when she made her way to her routine OB appointment.
During her visit, the Fox Business anchor was told that her second child “was ready to come out.”
“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes,” Vaughn teased to People. “I don’t blame him!”

Labor was no small feat. As the journalist explained, she went through over a day of labor.
“30 hours of labor later – George made his grand entrance to the world,” Vaughn said. “I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!”
Vaughn and Doocy, 37, are also parents to daughter Bridget, 2, so she’s thrilled to now also be a “boy mom.”

“There is a learning curve – never let your guard down during diaper changes otherwise you’ll be ‘baptized!’”
“It has been such a blessing to welcome our son to this world and it is just as special to see Bridget welcome her baby brother George,” Vaughn noted about her little ones’ bond. “Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before.”
Doocy revealed that Bridget was “the person who came closest to guessing when George would arrive” and “was also the first person to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to him in the hospital.”

Doochy’s father, TV host Steve Doochy, couldn’t be happier for his family. “Just before George was born, the whole family was on baby-watch,” he told People.

“I expect in the not too distant future I will have a conversation with young Mr. Doocy that goes something like, ‘George, when your parents come home tonight after work, there’s really no reason they need to know we had pie and ice cream for breakfast…again,’” Steve, 68, went on.
In February, Steve took a moment to gush over his wife, Kathy Gerrity.

“Valentine’s Day 1986, I popped the question and the future Mrs Doocy said YES! 🥂 I was kind of surprised because we had only started dating 45 days earlier,” he captioned their wedding picture on Instagram.
“At the end of our first date, I said ‘You’re going to think I’m crazy, but someday we’ll be married…’ She shot me a look and replied ‘You need to leave right now!’ 💨”
“On Valentine’s Day 45 days later I proposed and about 100 days later we were married. 💍 Three amazing kids, two adorable grandkids (and two more on the way)…so far so good! 😊,” Steve wrote.
“We had 16 guests at our weekday wedding in a Kansas City park,” he continued.
“Today Mrs Doocy says ‘If I’d known this marriage was going to last this long…I would have had a bigger wedding!’” he added. “Of course had she asked for a bigger wedding back then (despite not being to afford one) I would have said the ONE THING that has made ours a happy marriage for 39 years, “Yes dear!” ❤️ 🙏.”
