Home sweet home will soon have a new meaning for Josh Duhamel, as his “bachelor pad” is about to be no more.

While attending U2’s new Las Vegas residency at The Sphere on Friday night, the actor, 50, chatted exclusively with PEOPLE about plans to buy a home for himself and wife Audra Mari — who is currently pregnant and expecting the couple’s first child together.

“We’re moving next month,” Duhamel said. “We’re moving out of the old bachelor pad into an actual home.”

The move, the Transformers star confessed, was more his wife’s idea than his own.

“I’m like, ‘You sure you don’t like this whole bachelor pad?’ She’s like, ‘No, we’re leaving,’ ” he playfully teased of his wife, whom he married in September 2022.

Duhamel and Mari, 29, revealed they are expecting their first baby together in a joint Instagram post earlier this month.

In a photo where Mari held ultrasound photos, the caption read: “Baby Duhamel coming soon 🤍.”

Continuing to chat with PEOPLE, the Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!  star gushed that Mari’s pregnancy has been “really fun” so far.

“Audra is going to be an incredible mother,” he said. “We’ve both been looking forward to this for a very long time.”

Added Duhamel, who shares son Axl, 10, with ex Fergie, “So far, so good. I mean, it was a little rough in the beginning, but now we’re just having fun.”
