Now on Netflix: ‘Sullivan’s Crossing’ Season 3 leaves fans reeling — one surprise marriage, one shocking breakup, and a twist that changes everything
As secrets surface and relationships unravel, the final moments of Season 3 flip the story on its head. You thought you knew how this ended… but one character’s hidden past is about to rewrite the rules.

Sullivan’s Crossing has fans anxiously awaiting new episodes after season 3 ended with several shocking twists — including a secret marriage.
Based on Robyn Carr’s novel series, the CW show — which is now streaming on Netflix — follows neurosurgeon Maggie (Morgan Kohan) as she finds herself in legal trouble and returns to her hometown in rural Nova Scotia to reconnect with her estranged father, Sully (Scott Patterson).
Three seasons later, Maggie has set down roots in Sullivan’s Crossing and found love with Cal (Chad Michael Murray). But the third season finale, which aired earlier this month, shook Maggie and Cal’s relationship up when her secret husband, Liam (Marcus Rosner), showed up.
“There’s never a dull moment at Sullivan’s Crossing,” showrunner Roma Roth told Collider in July. “A romance drama series needs to have push and pull between your characters … we’re going to have a pretty big shoe drop at the end of the season that we’ll get to see play out in season 4.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Sully gave his new relationship a chance by traveling out of Sullivan’s Crossing. Frank (Tom Jackson) and Edna (Andrea Menard), meanwhile, considered what the next chapter of their lives would look like. Then there was Lola (Amalia Williamson) preparing for her romance with Jacob (Joel Oulette) to turn long-distance, while Sydney (Lindura) and Rafe (Dakota Taylor) were at a crossroads on whether their different views on marriage could be the end of their relationship.
Luckily, Sullivan’s Crossing has already been renewed for a fourth season. Keep scrolling for a breakdown of where the show ended for now:
Maggie

Despite finally acting on their feelings for each other, Maggie and Cal’s biggest obstacle was the different timelines they were on when it came to their relationship. Cal was ready to move in together, while Maggie appeared more commitment-phobic.
Things got even more complicated when Liam — who Maggie called a summer fling — arrived in Sullivan’s Crossing and revealed that he and Maggie are married.
Cal

Liam’s arrival in Sullivan’s Crossing has Us questioning whether Cal will press pause on his romance with Maggie since she wasn’t ready to take the next step with him (and is also secretly married to someone else).
Frank

After Edna’s surgery, Frank and his wife discussed traveling more so they can enjoy the next stage of their lives. The only problem? This would take the fan-favorite couple out of Sullivan’s Crossing.

The third season built up to Edna’s surgery and her subsequent recovery. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Edna started to lose her vision, and Maggie ultimately performed a high-stakes surgery that saved her life.
Sully
After finding love with Helen (Kate Vernon), Sully chose to go to Ireland with her. They called it an “extended” trip, which hinted at a time jump in season 4 so Sully could be back in the picture and Sullivan’s Crossing again.
