FULL BREAKDOWN JUST DROPPED: The 23-minute CCTV footage the FBI holds reveals a chilling truth: from start to finish, Anna Kepner was just trying to escape the room. Her stepbrother was trying to lock her in. The cause of the crime lies in years of pent-up behavior — in a family that chose silence over confrontation. Anna’s biological parents once said, “The kids will get along.” But the video reveals another truth: indifference can kill. Full footage timeline in the comments 👇👇

Anna Kepner died while she was on the Carnival Horizon cruise ship with her family on Nov. 7. The cause and manner of her death are still pending.
Federal agents are looking at the stepbrother of a teenager found dead on a Carnival cruise ship this month in connection with her death, according to a legal document in a separate case.
Anna Kepner, 18, died on the Carnival Horizon cruise ship Nov. 7 while she was on vacation with her family.
The Miami Dade Medical Examiner’s Office determined Kepner’s time of death was 11:17 a.m. but declined to provide a cause and manner of death. The office said Wednesday morning that those details were still pending.
The cruise ship returned to the Port of Miami the next day, as planned, Carnival said in a statement at the time, which added that it was assisting the FBI’s Miami office with the investigation.

The FBI confirmed in a statement at the time that it had responded to the docked cruise ship in Miami and was leading the investigation into Kepner’s death.
James Marshall, a spokesperson for the FBI in Miami, said Wednesday there are no updates in the case.
Carnival said in a statement Wednesday morning that “there is no related threat to safety aboard” the Carnival Horizon “as it sails its current voyage.”
A document filed Monday in Brevard County, Florida, in a separate case relating to Kepner’s stepmother’s past marriage says the stepmother, Shauntel Hudson, would like to pause testimony in that case because the FBI alerted her that federal agents are investigating one of her children in relation to Kepner’s death.
The filing says the FBI is looking into Hudson’s child “arising out of the sudden death” of Kepner.
Hudson “has been advised through discussion with FBI investigators and her attorneys, that a criminal case may be initiated against one of the minor children of this instant action,” the filing says.
It notes the “extremely sensitive and severe circumstance” that would bar Hudson from being able to testify at this time. It also says Hudson and her minor children were on the cruise with Kepner.
Another court filing relating to Hudson’s past marriage, filed Tuesday, identifies her teenage son with the initials T.H. as a suspect in Kepner’s death. In the meantime, he is living with a relative to protect the safety of his younger sister and Kepner’s other sibling, according to the document.
The filing said it is believed that the son’s biological father was getting him a lawyer, but it was not clear whether that had happened.
Kepner’s funeral will be this week, the filing says.
A lawyer for Shauntel Hudson did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Carnival also did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Jorge Colina, a former Miami police chief, told NBC News that investigators are likely to be going through the ship’s security cameras to look for evidence and to build a timeline of a possible crime.
Kepner, a high school senior and cheerleader from central Florida, was remembered in her obituary as a bubbly, outgoing and reliable teen who was always true to herself. She dreamed of becoming a cheerleader for the University of Georgia and “loved her siblings deeply,” the obituary said.
