He carried a black 25-litre Ozark Trail Hiker Pack backpack and wore a ski mask, gloves, and a zip-up jacket during the incident. The masked abductor appeared to have a handgun holstered at his waist in the surveillance footage previously released by the FBI.

Although the public is almost convinced that Annie Guthrie’s husband, Tommaso, is not the man seen in the security cam footage, they have not stopped being suspicious of him. They feel he has been involved in hatching the criminal plan, even though he did not commit the crime himself. “I don’t think its Tommaso in the door bell camera video. He would have known about the doorbell camera, plus he would have gone around to the side of the house/back. But, not ruling him out of putting something together to have all this,” an X user commented.
