Davis’ lawyer Parker Stinar released the clip of the incident.

The video showed the 51-year-old Davis being removed from the plane.

Passengers were seen questioning the scene as Davis’ wife, Tamiko Nash, stood up and interacted with the agents before he was placed in handcuffs and pulled off the plane for questioning.

Stinar revealed a statement on the clip, saying it backs up their claim that David was wrongfully detained.

“This video confirms the harrowing tale of multiple law enforcement agents, including the FBI, boarding the plane and apprehending a shocked, terrified, humiliated, and compliant Mr. Davis in front of his wife, Tamiko, minor children, and more than one hundred passengers,” he said.

“The rationale behind the United Airlines employee’s deceitful or inaccurate report extends far beyond a mere ice request or innocent tap on the shoulder.”

Stinar added that the lawsuit will provide truth on the situation and make United address the “systemic shortcomings that culminated in this traumatic incident, causing irreparable harm and enduring suffering for the Davis family.”

The NFL Hall of Famer Davis and his family were on a United commercial flight from Denver to California on July 13.

During the trip, a flight attendant came by the area of Davis’ family and he said that the attendant didn’t respond when his son asked for a cup of ice.

Davis proceeded to tap the flight attendant on the shoulder and the attendance snapped, shouting out, “Don’t hit me!” before moving to another part of the plane.

When the plane landed, the captain told every passenger to stay in their seat.

FBI agents then made their way to the plane and put Davis in handcuffs and took him off the plane for questioning.

The agents later released Davis after they determined he didn’t do anything wrong.

“The agent walks up to me, and he leans over and whispers, ‘Don’t fight it,’ and he put the cuffs on me,” Davis told CBS Mornings in an interview a few days after the incident.

His wife also appeared in the interview and said she thought the situation was a practical joke at first.

Tamiko said she and Davis try hard for their children to not be part of traumatizing scenarios like the one that occurred on the plane.

“As a mom, as a Black mom raising two Black sons, you work really hard to not have your children have those types of experiences,” Tamiko said.

United has since apologized for the matter.

They revealed that the flight attendance is currently out of rotation while the incident is investigated.

Davis played all of his seven seasons with the Broncos, winning two Super Bowls and an MVP award during that span.

The San Diego, California native made the Hall of Fame in 2017 as he holds the NFL record for most rushing touchdowns in a single postseason.
