Criticism over what she said was not taken well.

It Ends With Us is a movie that talks about one of the main issues in society, domestic violence. Blake Lively is the lead actress of the film and she is currently touring all over the world to bring the attention to what she believes is a movie that has a message to all men and women.

With that said, she has also take criticism, especially from fellow actress Jana Kramer. “It’s hard for people to talk about domestic violence when they haven’t, themselves … in real life had the hands of domestic violence on them,” she said on the Sunday episode of her “Whine Down” podcast over the weekend.

The former One Tree Hill actress reflected on her own experience with this matter when she talked about the film. It seems that her words are coming after a recent BBC News interview in which Lively claimed it is “deeply empowering” to show how her character, Lily Bloom, is not “defined by” the abuse she experienced.

Jana Kramer clearly disagrees

This matter is clearly an issue for Jana Kramer, as she went on to talk about why she disagrees with Blake Lively, even if her intentions are not bad. Some listeners seemed to agree with her even if they watched the movie.

“For people to say it doesn’t define you, it does define you,” Kramer said. “It has made me who I am. And though people can say it doesn’t define you, it (does). One of the biggest pieces of me is domestic violence.”

She continued by calling it the “biggest thread” in her life, recalling what she lived with her ex-husband Michael Gambino. She also expressed her disappointment over the movie’s marketing, saying she became “sad because (she) just want the messaging to be about domestic violence and how to help people and how to get help.”
