Genshin Impact is an online action RPG, which consists of open-world exploration in the world of Tevyat. It is one of the biggest action role-playing games which feature an action system based on elemental attributes. This game took the gaming industry by storm, and hundreds of gamers and streamers started investing their time and money in it.
After grinding this game for a while, many players tend to exhaust their in-game resources and start investing real money to buy in-game resources like Primogerms to collect a specific character or weapon. But spending money in the heat of the moment and not thinking about the longevity of the character in the upcoming meta may cause players to regret their choices.
Content creators confessing their biggest regrets about Genshin Impact

As mentioned above, during the early hype days of Genshin Impact, many content creators started spending their real money in-game to gather specific characters and weapons without thinking about the future meta. Likewise, when new characters dropped some of the old ones got power crept and they fell out of the meta, making it kinda waste of money for those creators.
Content creators like saki, Xlice, tsikyo, and more who have invested a fair amount of their resources in Genshin Impact have ended up regretting their choices.
1) saki – 65.2k followers

saki is a cat vtuber who mainly streams on Twitch playing games like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, League of Legends, and more. She is a popular community streamer and one of her biggest regrets is skipping the banner of Anemo Archon – Venti. She said:
My biggest regret is skipping Venti, but I didn’t skip Venti because I didn’t like him, its I always liked Venti. I am just a low spender so the first time Venti was around I skipped for Klee and then and then the second time I saw Waifu Eula and I skipped for Waifu Eula, but Venti is one of my favorite characters so that is my biggest regret.
It’s tough for a player to pull for their specific character when they are F2P.
2) Xlice – 324k followers

Xlice, a famous Twitch streamer who primarily plays gacha titles, has some big regrets about his Genshin account. During a banner of Kokomi (Hydro catalyst), Xlice couldn’t control his greed and pulled two signature weapons of Kokomo accidentally. Now one of those weapons is sitting in his inventory.
There is the Kokomi incident. Listen there was a little bit of a greed situation with the Kokomo’s weapon because it was the same banner with the Jade cutter. I was like might as well get some copies. I could have stopped early but my brain was like you know might as well just try to go for a Jade cutter and then I ended up getting two donuts.
Either you are ready to summon 3 banners in a row on the weapon banner (if you lose) or you don’t because the weapon banner has a different pity system compared to the character banner.
3) tsikyo – 128k followers

tsikyo is a famous cosplayer who also streams four days a week on Twitch. Like every other gacha game streamer/player, even she has regrets about her Genshin account. When a viewer asks her about the regret she proceeds to show them her disaster.

I will just show it to you how bout I show you what my greatest regret on Genshin Impact is and proceed to show C1 Eula and R5 Broken Pine Claymore. So the story behind this is that on the first Broken Pines banner, Broken Pines was available with the Aquila Favonia and I still don’t have Aquila Favonia to this day.
Spending a lot of money on a weapon banner will guarantee you a 5-star for sure, but might not be the one you wanted, so spend wisely.
4) Fobm4ster – 163k followers

Fobm4ster is a Korean American streamer who loves to play gacha games and streams daily on Twitch. He is one of the OG gacha streamers who has lots of regrets about his Genshin account which he shared with his community on one of his streams.
That’s tough. My biggest regret now is it c6 Bennet, is it C6 Yoimiya, is it re-rolling nine hours for Keqing, is it spending over $25000. We got a bunch of those. Logic-wise, the biggest regret is probably getting another full C6 Hu Tao, but was trying to get C6 Thoma, that is probably my biggest regret.
Having a C6 Bennet really limits his team composition with some DPS. Like with a C6 Bennet, you can’t run Eula, as his pyro DMG infusion with Eula’s Cryo Ultimate won’t work.
5) AsianGuyStream – 387k followers

AsianGuyStream is a streamer on Twitch. During one of his live streams, a viewer donated Twitch bits to gain his attention and asked him about his regrets on Genshin Impact, to which he replied after thinking for a while.
My biggest regret in Genshin is associating myself with certain people, that is my biggest regret in Genshin Impact.
Sometimes, associating with everyone isn’t the smartest choice.
6) OKCode – 213k followers
OKCode is another top streamer on our list who is a whale player, so he gets what he wants but sometimes even players who spend a lot of money can regret their choices later. When he was asked about this he said the following :
The biggest regret in Genshin like what I whaled on that was super bad. I guess Eula because I am not a one-shot gamer. Eula just feels too gimmicky as in like if you wanna record big one-shots.
Again, spending a lot of money doesn’t guarantee you a specific weapon, but it does guarantee you a 5-star limited weapon.

dish, another streamer on our list, streams gacha games almost daily. During one of her streams, a viewer asked what her regrets were about Genshin Impact, to which she replied sarcastically.
Biggest regret… hmm Miss Gnyu was my biggest regret(sarcastically). My biggest regret is raising Barbara. I guess the only other thing game-play wise is like not using resin early game like on ley lines and stuff . I n my defence the game doesn’t really tell you how valuable resin is until later so you always end up wasting it.
Reminder, do use your resins early game on ley lines to farm some in-game resources like Mora, Hero’s Wit, and more.
8) BranOnline – 86k followers

BranOnline is a famous community-known gacha game streamer on Twitch. He usually plays Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves. During a stream of his, a viewer donated 100 Twitch bits and asked what are his biggest regrets in Genshin to which he replied he could show him his regret.
I could give you some incredible content right now, but it will hurt my soul to do it (proceeds to show a C5 bennet, which can be upgraded to C6). My biggest regret in Genshin Impact, is toskip the banner of child(Tartaglia).

Skipping a character might haunt you later if that character doesn’t get a re-run, so choose your characters wisely.
9) Tuonto – 868k followers

Ruonto is a Vietnamese streamer/content creator, playing gacha games and Valorant on his stream. When asked about his regrets, he at first sarcastically replied that playing Genshin Impact was his biggest regret but eventually revealed his other regrets.
My actual real regret… I think my biggest regret is grinding the game way too fast. I hit AR 58, I fully built Jean and now I am just like not motivated to play anymore. I keep forgetting to take my time, that’s probably my actual regret.
Play the game while enjoying its surroundings and all, no need to rush it.
These famous streamers’ regrets are something new players should avoid, as it will save them a lot of in-game resources and real money.
These simple mistakes are avoidable with a bit of self-control. Other than self-control what other ways do you think will help the new players gain an advantage in the early game?
