When Thor: Love and Thunder came out, the expectations were high. Taika Waititi was the director – and that was great news after Ragnarok – Jane Foster was back, and we knew that Christian Bale was going to play Gorr, one of Thor’s most formidable foes. It was a perfect formula, but…
… it turned out that the film was subpar, a complete and incoherent mess that not only ruined the return of Jane and the debut of Gorr, but it also provided nothing going forward, with Thor becoming the only Avenger with four solo movies not having any impact at all. And with people speculating that a fifth Thor movie is on the way, it remains to be seen how Marvel is going to handle this.
Having said this, the information we have right now is still very scarce and there is much speculation. This opens doors to a lot of theories, and one recent theory implies that we actually know who the next Thor is going to be, i.e., that the MCU has already shown the new Thor to us and no, it’s not Jane Foster, as you might have believed.
The theory we are about to present to you was made by Reddit user Responsible_Quiet686, who posted it on the social media platform, and it goes as follows:
Love (Gorr’s resurrected daughter) could be the MCU’s version of Tarene a.k.a. Thor Girl

As you can see, this theory is not well-explained, but it is a very wild one. Namely, it goes back to the fourth movie and to Gorr’s resurrected daughter, Love, who was revived at the end of the movie. The character was played by India Hemsworth, Chris’ real-life daughter, and at the end of the movie, we see Thor taking care of her and the two of them fighting together. This, according to the theory, is a hint confirming that Love is going to become the next Thor in future MCU projects, which is – at this moment – as solid a theory as any other. So, what did the fans say to this?
They’re clearly setting up young Avengers. We have Kate Bishop, Yelena Belova, Ironheart, Skaar, Wiccan (upcoming), Isaiah Bradley’s grandson, Shuri/T’Challa II and Love.

Or they could ignore the events of Love and Thunder entirely.
Yeah, let’s do that.
– AtticusSwoopenheiser
Just hope they don’t ignore her in future films.
Like, I think it makes sense that Thor have a daughter right now.
Maybe they can make her grown off-screen and be more adult.

Love could certainly be on the Young Avengers.
