It’s been just over 10 years since Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow hit theaters, and yet it remains one of the most in-demand sequels from fans after years of discussions from Cruise and director Doug Liman about their plans for a follow-up. As the first movie gears up to begin streaming on Netflix, the speculation of a sequel is starting to swirl again, and I think the chances are looking more promising. Cruise has not only signed a first-look deal with Warner Bros., but Liman also recently stated that the biggest hurdle is figuring out the movie’s third act, indicating that development is pretty far along on the overall story of the sequel.
