First seen in Agatha All Along episode 2, “Circle Sewn with Fate/Unlock Thy Hidden Gate,” “Teen’s” sigil not only censors his real name, but also silences his voice when he reveals important and personal information. This isn’t the most accurate spell, however, as certain pieces of information have slipped through the cracks. While “Teen’s” true identity is a mystery, there’s another question about who actually placed the sigil on Joe Locke’s new MCU character, but Agatha All Along episode 3, “Through Many Miles of Tricks and Trials,” might have already teased an answer.
Agatha Harkness Describes Teen’s Sigil As “Clumsy Glamor”
Joe Locke’s “Teen” Joined Agatha Harkness & Her Coven On The Witches’ Road
Agatha Harkness initially opted to keep the sigil placed on “Teen” a secret from the other members of her rag-tag coven, who traveled to the Witches’ Road at the end of Agatha All Along episode 2. However, Agatha All Along episode 3 saw Patti LuPone’s 450-year-old Sicilian witch, Lilia Calderu, ask “Teen” who he is, revealing the sigil to the others, much to their surprise. Agatha Harkness confirms that it wasn’t her who placed the sigil on “Teen,” describing it as “clumsy glamor,” but she may have inadvertently uncovered the perfect explanation for this mysterious spell.
Agatha’s Comments Create An Unmistakeable Connection To WandaVision Episode 2
“Clumsy Glamor” May Call Back To WandaVision Episode 2, “Don’t Touch That Dial”
Agatha All Along is the first spinoff series to release following 2021’s WandaVision, with the second, the Paul Bettany-led Vision series, is expected to premiere in 2026. WandaVision’s storyline has been continued brilliantly in Agatha All Along, as the show’s first three episodes have revealed the aftermath of the Scarlet Witch’s time in Westview, New Jersey, and have dealt with the fallout of Wanda Maximoff’s spell on Agatha Harkness being broken. Agatha All Along episode 3 may have established yet another connection.
Agatha Harkness describing the sigil placed on “Teen” as “clumsy glamor,” suggesting that sort of magic is beneath her, could call back to WandaVision episode 2, “Don’t Touch That Dial”. This 1960s-set episode saw Wanda Maximoff perform as Vision’s magician’s assistant in a Westview talent show. Her character’s name, interestingly, was Glamor. This could hint at Agatha All Along episode 3 implying that the Scarlet Witch placed the sigil on “Teen,” which would support major theories concerning the character’s true identity behind that magic.
Why Wanda Maximoff Would Put A Sigil On Teen
Popular Theories Suggest “Teen” & Wanda Maximoff May Be Related
Ever since Joe Locke was confirmed to have joined the cast of Agatha All Along, the most prevailing theory concerning his character’s identity has suggested he could be the MCU’s Billy Kaplan, a.k.a. Wiccan. Introduced to Marvel Comics in 2005’s Young Avengers #1, Billy Kaplan is the reincarnated version of Billy Maximoff, one of the sons of the Scarlet Witch. Julian Hilliard portrayed ten-year-old Billy Maximoff in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but may have been replaced by Joe Locke for Agatha All Along and beyond.

While this theory is yet to be confirmed, and some have suggested otherwise, with Joe Locke possibly even playing Agatha Harkness’ own son, Locke as Billy Kaplan would explain why Wanda Maximoff would place a sigil on him. The Scarlet Witch would surely want to protect the identity of her reincarnated son, especially from the likes of Agatha Harkness. Wanda’s Glamor character used magic as a spectacle to wow the residents of Westview, and the same could have occurred for “Teen’s” sigil in Agatha All Along, with the clumsy magic hiding her son from some powerful and possibly dangerous witches.
