Allen was drafted in the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams and spent his entire career with the team.

He got regular playing time his rookie year and became a starter in 2019.

Allen missed the 2020 Covid season, but returned in 2021 and started 16 games for the Rams, going on to become a Super Bowl champion with the team.

He would remain with the Rams in 2022 and 2023, but was released following the 2023 season.

After being released in February, Allen signed with the Browns, but was placed on the injured list in the last week.

Allen was released from the IL with a settlement, and will once again be a free agent.

The Browns have a critical season ahead of them, and are ensuring their roster is perfect to take on the challenge.

They made moves in the offseason to bolster their squad and make a push for the playoffs.

The biggest of those moves was to trade for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Cleveland gave up a fifth and sixth-round draft pick for the wide receiver who should slot in well besides Amari Cooper.

The Browns didn’t have many picks in the 2024 Draft, but used them to make solid additions to their roster.

They picked up defensive tackle Mike Hall from Ohio State in the second round and Guard Zak Zinter from Michigan in the third round.

In the fifth round the Browns grabbed wide receiver Jamari Thrash from Louisville before getting linebacker Nathaniel Watson from Mississippi State.

They had two picks in the seventh round, picking up cornerback Myles Harden from South Dakota and defensive tackle Jowon Briggs from Cincinnati.

The Browns finished the 2023 season at 11-6, making the playoffs but losing in the first round.

With a healthy season from quarterback Deshaun Watson they could make their way back to the playoffs and maybe win a playoff game.

Their season kicks off against the Dallas Cowboys on September 8.

The Browns’ opening game will be the first game Tom Brady commentates on Fox Sports.
