The game is being criticized for not being made properly. Fans feel that their money is going down the drain by purchasing games early on by Ubisoft. The developer confirms that the game is underperforming as it failed to meet the internal expectations as well.

Ubisoft’s latest game is not what players were anticipating. The game feels unfinished in most parts and does not offer a smooth playing experience, which has made early buyers question their decision to buy games on release day. Since there are so many updates in the months following the release of a game, it is slowly becoming useless to buy games early on.
Star Wars Outlaws is the live proof of why the decision to buy a game on its launch date is such a bad decision. Star Wars Outlaws is being heavily criticized for being unfinished and full of lags at certain points. The game also failed to meet internal expectations despite having a Metacritic score of 76 and user scores across the First Party and Epic stores of 3.9/5. The initial sale of the game proved softer than expected.
Many people called the game out for not being up to the mark and stating that there is no point in spending money on it as of now.
Star Wars Outlaws was anticipated to be a hit amongst Star Wars fans but Ubisoft did not fail to kill those expectations. The game showed a lot of promise before release but failed to perform well when it got into the hands of players.

Ubisoft understands how important it is to make amends and implement changes in the game as soon as possible. It can not afford the game’s failure. If something can be done still, then it needs to be done fast, or people will begin to lose interest in the game, much like what happened with XDefiant.
Ubisoft would not want to lose player engagement on Star Wars Outlaws. Commenting on the same, Ubisoft released a statement stating:
In response to player feedback, Ubisoft’s development teams are currently fully mobilized to swiftly implement a series of updates to polish and improve the player experience in order to engage a large audience during the holiday season to position Star Wars Outlaws as a strong long-term performer. The game will be available on Steam on November 21.
It was also confirmed that Ubisoft failed to do well financially in the second quarter of the year. The poor financial performance was a kickstart for it to address these issues promptly and swiftly. What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below.
