SEVERAL celebrities have removed tattoos that were once a tribute to their partner after their relationship ended.

From Pete Davidson’s Kim Kardashian-inspired ink to Angelina Jolie’s tribute to her ex-husband, it appears that when the romance ends, all reminders of it need scrubbing away.

Here are the ink-obsessed stars who removed or covered tattoos after breaking up with their romantic partners.

PETE DAVIDSON

Pete Davidson, 30, dated Kim Kardashian, 43, from October 2021 to August 2022 after becoming friendly and sharing an on-screen kiss while The Kardashians star hosted Saturday Night Live.

The pair were quickly swept into a whirlwind romance, though it was not without its bumps – most, if not all, coming by way of Kim’s eccentric, rapper ex-husband, Kanye West, 47.

Pete got several tattoos, and even a brand of the Skims founder’s name, to commemorate his and Kim’s love affair.

Kim’s favorite was the “my girl is a lawyer” tattoo, a reference to her passing the bar in 2021, inked around the comedian’s collarbone.

He also got the initials “KNSCP” representing Kim and each of her children – North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm – tattooed near his clavicle.

Beneath the initials, the Bodies Bodies Bodies star tattooed the names “Aladdin” and “Jasmine” along with an infinity sign, referencing the pair’s SNL sketch that sparked their romance.

The tattoos have all since been removed since the short-lived couple split.

ANGELINA JOLIE

Angelina Jolie, 49, was married to actor Billy Bob Thornton for three years, from May 2000 to May 2003.

During that time, between making out on the red carpet and carrying vials of each other’s blood around their necks, the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider star got a tattoo of his name above a dragon on her left shoulder.

Soon after her divorce from the Monster’s Ball actor, Angelina removed the tattoo of his name and had it replaced with the coordinates of her family’s birthplaces.

Her next husband, now ex-husband, Brad Pitt, 60, once had his birthplace coordinates included in that list but it has since been scrubbed away since the pair separated in 2016.

JOHNNY DEPP

One of the most publicized celebrity tattoo do-overs belongs to Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Johnny Depp, 61.

Johnny was engaged to his Edward Scissorhands costar, Winona Ryder, 52, from July 1990 to June 1993.

And while their engagement never produced a marriage, it did produce the “Winona Forever” tattoo on the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star’s right shoulder.

A year later, Johnny had the last two letters in Winona removed, changing the tattoo to now read, “Wino Forever,” something he told Playboy, was “a bit more accurate.”

When speaking about the breakup, Winona told Cinema.com in 2001, “I was very depressed after breaking off my engagement with Johnny 10 years ago.

“I was embarrassingly dramatic at the time, but you have to remember I was only 19 years old,” the Stranger Things star added.

JUSTIN BIEBER

Justin Bieber, 30, who recently announced he’s expecting his first child with his wife Hailey Bieber, dated Selena Gomez, 31, on and off, from 2010 to 2018.

During that time, the heavily tattooed pop star got a portrait of the Only Murders in the Building star on his left wrist to celebrate his love for the actress.

Justin would go on to have the tattoo covered after he and Selena broke up, though he later admitted to GQ, ” I tried to cut her face [out] with some shading, but people still know.”

AMBER ROSE

Amber Rose, 40, married rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2013.

The pair welcomed their son, Sebastian “The Bash” Taylor Thomaz, on February 21, 2013.

If marriage and a child weren’t enough, Amber also got a portrait of the rapper’s face on the back of her left arm.

When the pair split due to irreconcilable differences in 2014, she covered up the tattoo with one that appears to be the rockstar, Slash.

MELANIE GRIFFITH

Melanie Griffith, 66, who was once married to Miami Vice star Don Johnson and Scarface actor Steven Bauer, got a tattoo commemorating her love for her third husband, Antonio Banderas, 63, on her right shoulder.

The Working Girl star had husband Antonio’s name inked inside a heart.

Sometime after the couple split, Melanie erased the tattoo of his name but left the heart.

Following their breakup, the Kylie Cosmetics founder changed the lowercase “t,” for Tyga, tattoo on her ankle to a lowercase “la,” presumably for Los Angeles.

TRAVIS BARKER

Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 48, covered up the tattoo of his ex-wife Shanna Moakler’s name.

Travis and Shanna, 49, share children Landon, 20, and Alabama Barker, 18, as well as Shanna’s daughter with retired boxer Oscar De La Hoya, Atiana De La Hoya, 25.

After the pair divorced in 2008, the rockstar covered Shanna’s name with a tattoo of a scorpion.

He later added a tattoo of his now-wife Kourtney Kardashian Barker’s lips over the tribute to his ex.

HEIDI KLUM

After nearly seven years of marriage and three children, Leni, 20; Henry, 18; Johan, 17; and Lou, 14, the supermodel filed for divorce in 2012.

The following year, the America’s Got Talent judge attempted to have her tattoo of Seal’s name removed from her arm.

Though the ink now appears faded, the outline of the tattoo can still be seen on the inside of Heid’s forearm.

EVA LONGORIA

Eva Longoria, 48, celebrated her marriage to retired San Antonio Spurs player Tony Parker with three tattoos.

A giant “NINE,” a reference to Tony’s jersey number, was inked on the back of her neck; the date of their marriage, “07-07-07,” was tattooed on her wrist; and her husband’s initials were tattooed somewhere out of sight on her body.

A couple of years after the pair divorced in 2010, Eva got all three of the tattoos removed.
