She will have a recurring role in the series, however she will still be appearing frequently, indicating she is an important element of the story moving forward.

The World Of The Monsterverse Is Beginning To Broaden
Monarch season 1 ended with Cate (Anna Sawai), May (Kiersey Clemons), and Keiko (Mari Yamamoto) escaping the Hollow Earth, but at the expense of Lee (Kurt Russell), who sacrifices himself so they can leave. When they get back, they arrive on Skull Island, learning two years have passed and that Kentaro (Ren Watanabe) is working for Apex Cybernetics. Given the importance the tech company will likely have in season 2, it’s possible Midthunder’s character will be connected in some capacity to their endeavors involving Titans.
Apex already has an important place in the Monsterverse, as they’re destined to create Mechagodzilla, whom Godzilla and Kong fight at the end of Godzilla vs. Kong. It’s likely season 2 will be laying the groundwork for their inevitable future, potentially offering more detail about their use of Ghidorah’s skull and how Skull Island factors into their plans. Given most of the cast of Monarch are still in the dark surrounding their intentions, Isabel could become an important lens into how everything in the upcoming episodes is going to play out.
