Erika Ishii just could not bear the unnecessary hate against them anymore and decided to take a drastic step that led to further criticism.
Ghost of Yōtei Female Lead Atsu is getting unjust hate due to their personal life. Erika Ishii, who plays the lead in the next game by Sucker Punch, is a big advocate for calling out the unjust actions of those holding an office of power by openly criticizing their suppressive actions against the LGBTQ community.

Erika Ishii’s bold step against toxic fans has led many toxic fans of the game to the brink of frustration. Their decision to shut toxic people off is completely justified and should not be seen as a threat, nor should it affect the game since their personal lives and the game exist independently of each other.
Ghost of Yōtei’s Protagonist At The Center of Unjust Hate
Erika Ishii is often seen talking against the regime for the betterment of people who have been oppressed by the people at powerful offices, including the police. She openly criticizes their actions on a public forum, categorizing it as a racist organisation that should be abolished.
They are an activist who speaks for the oppressed against the regime that wants to crush them under their feet. However, some toxic fans are calling their actions out and claiming that following her harsh comments, they would not be comfortable buying the game.
Top 3 things you should never do if you want your AAA to be a success according to history.
1. Hire a militant woke activist who hates half your audience as your protagonist.
2. Have big execs tell gamers “if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.”
3. Pre-emptively block everyone… pic.twitter.com/SZgUbyWTXU

People are also calling out the team belonging to the LGBTQ community within Sucker Punch. They say that this inclusivity is a red flag and nothing but a facade. Toxic fans fail to look beyond their petty insecurities, which led to Erika Ishii blocking such people from their account.

This action further led to outrage amongst the people who were blocked, as they felt their opinion was not being validated. Toxic opinions are not meant to be validated but forgotten.

Erika Ishii has been a central topic of discussion ever since Ghost of Yōtei was announced a couple days ago. They are being called out for their activism against the people in power who oppress the general public, especially people belonging to the LGBTQ community.
Her actions are being considered a marketing stunt by some fans, as they fail to understand that Sucker Punch’s inclusivity is not a petty attempt to appear accepting but a very normal thing. People belonging to the LGBTQ community should not be put into a bubble and be seen from stereotypical lens.
These are the actions that lead people to come out on the streets in protest. Erika Ishii is trying to make people understand, but still, many toxic fans have ganged up against her, which ultimately led her to block all the toxicity away. What do you think about it?
