Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) enchanted, gazing at her Ring of Power in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 1Morfydd Clark is best known for playing Galadriel in Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, but she has a wide range of other movie and television roles under her belt as well. While Rings of Power has received a mixed reception since its 2022 debut, Clark’s performance is one of the series’ consistent highlights throughout seasons 1 and 2. Instead of trying to mimic Cate Blanchett’s movie performance, Clark provides her own distinct take on the character.

Her Galadriel is younger, more impulsive, and more prone to anger — yet Clark still imbues the character with gravitas and a commanding delivery of her lines. She brings to life one of The Rings of Power‘s best characters and has strong chemistry with Charlie Vickers, making the relationship between Galadriel and Sauron particularly compelling to watch. Clark was already a rising star before The Rings of Power, though, and has continued to take on other roles besides Galadriel.

Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 Episode 4

The Rings of Power‘s five-season plan means that Clark will remain busy playing Galadriel for the next few years, with her character guaranteed to survive the series and make it to The Lord of the Rings. Her most prominent upcoming role outside The Rings of Power is a movie adaptation of Hamlet, where she will play Ophelia. This Hamlet adaptation also features Riz Ahmed as the eponymous prince, along with Timothy Spall as Polonius, Joe Alwyn as Laertes, and Art Malik as King Claudius.

For the foreseeable future, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will continue to be Clark’s primary role, with Hamlet and potentially Uncle contributing to her filmography.

Clark’s only other confirmed project is starring alongside Eddie Marsan in Uncle, a revenge thriller directed and co-written by Joe Marcantonio. Marsan and Clark’s casting was announced in May 2023, but there have been no updates on the movie since then, leaving its status unclear.
