Loyalty means everything in Netflix’s hit TV series Cobra Kai, and in real life, the cast members have a chance to practice just that in their relationships.

In season 6, part 2 of Cobra Kai, which premiered on Nov. 15, the Miyagi-Do Karate dojo faces new challenges and old enemies at the world championships of karate in Barcelona. Karate Kid alums Ralph Macchio, who plays Daniel LaRusso, and William Zabka, who plays Johnny Lawrence contend with drama when Tory Nichols (Peyton List) joins the dojo led by John Kreese (Martin Kove).

While List’s character may not know where her allegiance truly lies, off-screen, she has been in a relationship with her boyfriend, Jacob Bertrand, who plays Eli Moskowitz in Cobra Kai, since 2022.

“It was awesome,” Bertrand told PEOPLE in August 2024 of filming the show’s sixth and final season with his girlfriend. “It was such a blessing.”

While Macchio’s TV wife, Courtney Henggeler (Amanda LaRusso), is a very supportive partner, off-screen, the actor has been cheered on by his real-life spouse, Phyllis Fierro, since their wedding in 1987.

Ralph Macchio and Phyllis Fierro

Ralph Macchio, who portrays Miyagi-Do Karate sensei Daniel LaRusso, has known his wife, Phyllis Fierro, since he was 15. The couple wed over 35 years ago in 1987.

“We are meant to be together,” Macchio told PEOPLE in 2021. “We know that we will overcome all because we believe in that.”

Fierro, a nurse practitioner, and the actor share two children: daughter Julia, who has appeared in Cobra Kai twice, and son Daniel.

William Zabka, who plays Daniel’s longtime rival Johnny Lawrence, has been married to his wife, Stacie Zabka, since 2008. The pair share two children and are private about their personal life.

“One thing I’ve learned about having the responsibility of being a father is that you think it’s going to take your time, but it feeds you,” the actor told PEOPLE in 2021.

Courtney Henggeler, who plays Amanda LaRusso, has been married to TV and film producer Ross Kohn since 2015.

Two years after they tied the knot, Kohn directed Henggeler in Lifetime’s Escaping Dad.

Off-screen, the couple welcomed their first child, son Oscar Noah, in 2017. Their daughter, Georgie Healy, followed in 2019.

Peyton List and Jacob Bertrand

Costars Peyton List, who portrays Tory Nichols, and Jacob Bertrand, who plays Eli Moskowitz, first met a year before they worked together on the set of 2016’s The Swap — a Disney Channel original movie. Their friendship eventually turned romantic and they publicly confirmed their relationship in March 2022.

“We’ve been dating for a while,” Bertrand told TMZ at the time. “I’ve never dated anyone I’ve worked with before. This is almost trial by fire.”

In addition to working together on Cobra Kai, List and Bertrand starred opposite each other in the 2022 short film Oh, Mighty Ocean!

That same year, they walked several red carpets together, posing for photos at Vanity Fair‘s A Night For Young Hollywood event and PaleyFest LA.

In November 2024, List told PEOPLE, “Jacob is the best person. He’s such an authentic, genuine soul, and I trust him so much. I go to him whenever I need advice.”

Martin Kove and Mary Scavo Squire

Martin Kove, who plays the ruthless sensei John Kreese, is dating Mary Scavo Squire, the Tampa Bay Times reported in 2023. “I’m a romantic,” he told the outlet.

The couple have seemingly been together for nearly a decade. Kove and Squire have red carpet photos dating back to 2016 when they attended the third annual Carney Awards in Los Angeles. Most recently, they attended the Catalina Film Festival in September 2020.

Gianni DeCenzo and Melissa Rivera

Gianni DeCenzo, who plays Demetri Alexopoulos, has been dating Melissa Rivera since 2020, per Instagram.

The couple made their red carpet debut at the 39th annual PaleyFest LA in April 2022.

Xolo Maridueña

Xolo Maridueña, who plays Miguel Diaz, is currently single. However, he did date his Cobra Kai costar Hannah Kepple, who plays Moon, for roughly three years.

“Season 1, we were actually friends, a little flirty, and then we started talking after season 1, and it clicked,” Kepple told MEA WorldWide in 2019.

It’s unclear when the pair split, but according to PureWow, Maridueña and the actress deleted all traces of their relationship from Instagram sometime in 2022.
