Viewers are curious to know whether Netflix has canceled or renewed His & Hers Season 2. Created by Dee Johnson, it’s based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel. The mystery thriller follows two estranged spouses, a news reporter, and a detective, who collaborate to solve a murder case. Their suspicions run high as they believe the other could be involved. With the series having concluded, many are curious to know whether additional installments are in store.
Has Netflix canceled His & Hers or renewed it for Season 2?
Netflix has designated His & Hers Season 2 a limited series. While the chances of another season are slim, the possibility couldn’t be completely ruled out.
Generally, a series renewal depends on multiple factors, including viewership, audience reception, financial viability, ratings, and other key considerations. When these expectations are met, a renewal becomes likely. However, in the case of a limited series, these renewal factors typically might not apply, as the show is designed to tell a self-contained story that does not extend beyond its planned episodes. However, there are instances where creators introduce additional seasons even to a limited series, if it performs extremely well, and choose to continue the story beyond the book on which it is based.
Earlier, Tessa Thompson, who plays the lead role of Anna, shared her enthusiasm for being a part of Feeney’s book adaptation. She told Tudum, “I am beyond elated to be collaborating with a filmmaker I have long admired and an incredible team to make a fresh offering in a genre that I can never get enough of. From the second I heard what Will was imagining doing with Alice Feeney’s brilliant book to the moment I visited the town where our story is set, I was hooked.”
Apart from Thompson, the main cast also includes Jon Bernthal as Detective Jack Harper, Pablo Schreiber as Richard, Crystal Fox as Alice, Sunita Mani as Priya, and Rebecca Rittenhouse as Lexy.
