Off Campus Season 2 Will Probably Arrive Sooner Than You Think

I didn’t expect to get bang into a soapy college-set romance this summer, but here we are, and I’m not the only one. Off Campus – based on the Elle Kennedy book series of the same name – has swiftly become a runaway success. The Amazon Prime show is now the third most-watched debut series of all time on the streamer, with a combined 36 million viewers in its first two weeks.

It’s easy to see why. The show is a little silly, yes, but it’s also moreish. Like all the best teen dramas of yore, it exists within the comforting, colour-saturated world of jocks and college parties, of red cups and romances, American diners and karaoke bars. Nothing really dark ever happens, it’s only ever alluded to, and you can be sure that despite any setbacks these characters might face, they’ll all work it out in the end.

Amazon already knew it was going to be a doozy. Off Campus was renewed for a second season back in February, long before the first season even premiered this May. But what can we expect from the second horny ice hockey drama of the year (the first being Heated Rivalry, obviously)? Here’s what we know about season two.

What will Off Campus season two be about?

Off Campus’s first season focussed on a blossoming romance between ice hockey star Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli) and bookish music student Hannah Wells (Ella Bright). But, as with each book, each season will likely focus on a different love story, meaning they won’t be the central couple of season two.

In an Instagram teaser, Amazon confirmed that season two would primarily focus on Hannah’s best friend Allie (Mika Abdalla) and Garrett’s ice hockey pal Dean (Stephen Kalyn), who spent season one in a “friends with benefits” situation that started to feel serious. “We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season two,” Off Campus writer Louisa Levy said in a statement. “But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry – they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”

Who’s in the cast for Off Campus season two?

The streamer has confirmed that plenty of the season one cast will carry on into the next season (Bright as Hannah, Cameli as Garrett, Abdalla as Allie, Kalyn as Dean, Antonio Cipriano as John Logan and Jalen Thomas Brooks as John Tucker).

But there will also be some new faces. On 30 April, India Fowler (White Lines, Insomnia) was announced as the character of Grace Ivers for season two (the eagle-eyed among us will have noticed that she did make a minor cameo in the first season at the Hawks’ fundraiser event at Malone’s. And, well, spoiler – Ivers appears as Logan’s love interest in the book series. Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), will also join as Scarlett, a theatre artist who guest-directs an original play for Briar University’s drama department.

One character that wont be returning is Justin, played by Josh Heuston. “I love Josh, and I would not write him off if I can find a way to bring Justin back at some point,” Levy told TV Guide. “We never got a chance to meet Stella, who is the person he ends up with in the book. So maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never.”

What’s the release date for Off Campus season two?

Off Campus season two is likely to come out sooner than is often the case with hit shows. Though they’ve yet to announce an official release date, filming commenced on 1 June, 2026. Last year, filming also began in June, and wrapped up in October in order to be released by the following May. By that logic, we’d expect season two to be out by May 2027, if not sooner. But, obviously, nothing’s been confirmed at this point.
