Netflix has released new images, a teaser trailer, and the release date for The Night Agent Season 3 as its release date draws near.
Series creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan has also teased that the team is aiming for its biggest season yet, with new locations, characters, and large-scale set pieces, some of which can be seen in the new stills released today. As we’ve been covering, filming for the new season wrapped up back in mid-July. We’ve also gotten the episode titles, which provide small teases of what’s to come.
Gabriel Basso returns as Peter Sutherland and is joined this season by Fola Evans-Akingbola, Ward Horton, and Albert Jones as newly elevated series regulars. Additional cast members include David Lyons, Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Genesis Rodriguez, Callum Vinson, and Suraj Sharma. As you may have heard, though, Luciane Buchanan has confirmed that she won’t be returning to The Night Agent Season 3 as Rose.
Let’s get into the new images and new details, beginning with the teaser trailer:

Season 3’s creative lineup pairs each block of episodes with its own director and writer combination, starting with Guy Ferland helming episodes 301 and 302, written by Munis Rashid and Anayat Fakhraie. Adam Arkin takes on episodes 303 and 304, penned by Seth Fisher and Eileen Myers, while Paris Barclay oversees 305 and 306, written by Corey Deshon and Imogen Browder. Episodes 307 and 308 come from director Hiromi Kamata with scripts by Andres Smith and Anayat Fakhraie and Corey Deshon, and the season closes with Billy Gierhart directing 309 and 310, written by Aiyana White and a final script from Munis Rashid and Seth Fisher.
In a statement to TUDUM, Shawn Ryan said, “Season 3 of The Night Agent takes our audience on an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride across Istanbul, Mexico City, Washington, D.C., New York and the Dominican Republic as Peter grapples with a dangerous conspiracy at the heart of the White House… Amidst these new characters and challenges, Peter will reckon with hard truths and confront the impact of what being a Night Agent has personally cost him and how it has changed him, for better and for worse.”

Looking ahead, as we covered last week, work is already underway on a fourth season of the show. While there’s no official announcement or greenlight just yet, further evidence emerged that the show will be returning, with the California Film Commission confirming that the series has been granted tax credits to relocate to the state for its fourth season. No official confirmation of that with today’s asset drop, but we’ll keep you posted. Presumably, we’ll get an official nod just before season 3 comes out, confirming that Peter Sutherland has a lot more work to do.
