“A RARE SIGHT ON THE RED CARPET — AND FANS NOTICED IMMEDIATELY.”
Carrie Underwood arrived at the Opry 100 celebration looking radiant — but it was her husband, Mike Fisher, standing proudly beside her that stole the spotlight. The couple rarely appears together at public events, making this moment feel special, heartfelt, and deeply meaningful to longtime fans. A quiet show of support. A rare glimpse into their private world — and a reminder that some partnerships don’t need words to speak volumes.

Carrie Underwood’s Husband Made a Rare Red Carpet Appearance at Opry 100
Opry 100: A Live Celebration is now streaming on Peacock. Carrie Underwood hit the Opry 100: A Live Celebration red carpet on March 19 with her husband, former hockey pro Mike Fisher, in tow. It was Fisher’s first red carpet appearance in over two years.
All eyes were on the couple — who married in 2010 — as they stunned in matching black outfits. Underwood’s black gown (with gold accents) perfectly complemented her blonde hair, while Fisher rocked a timeless fitted suit.
The last time Underwood and Fisher hit a red carpet was for the 2022 CMAs, making their adorable photo op at Opry 100 seriously overdue.
Underwood was an integral part of the performers’ lineup at Opry 100. One of the evening’s highlights was her masterful tribute to country legend Randy Travis. She performed two of his songs, “Three Wooden Crosses” and “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and earned a standing ovation.
At the end of the second song, Underwood entered the audience and held out the microphone so that Travis could sing the final “amen” on his own. Travis has had trouble speaking due to a stroke he suffered a decade ago, but he flawlessly pulled off the quick, impromptu performance.
You can watch this moment, and the entire Opry 100 special, on Peacock now.

Carrie Underwood opens up about her marriage to Mike Fisher
In Underwood and Fisher’s 2020 documentary Mike and Carrie: God & Country, the voice behind NBC’s Sunday Night Football theme song revealed she and Fisher aren’t as alike as people may think. One example: He’s an avid hunter; she doesn’t eat meat.

“We just differ drastically,” Underwood confessed in the doc, per E! News. “I love animals and I love life so much that I always swore I would never marry a hunter as a child — not in a million years.”
Despite their “drastic” differences in some aspects of their lives, Underwood explained that their love is too strong to turn those differences into dealbreakers.

“We learn from each other and we have spirited discussions about things that we disagree on,” Underwood said. “But at the end of the day, we love each other very much. And that’s where our faith comes in too. I think it gives us kind of a center ground where that’s the most important thing in anything. And then your differences, if they’re rooted in that, I know your heart. You know my heart. There’s always a way. And it’s… always God working in it.”
