Emmerdale actor Michael Parr has revealed that he is set to be a dad in the cutest way. Michael, who plays fan-favourite character Ross Barton, announced that his girlfriend, Isabelle Du Plessis, is pregnant with their first child.
Michael rested his hand on Isabelle’s growing baby bump as they posed together on the beach. The couple beamed from ear to ear as they announced the news.

The 38-year-old looked handsome in a pair of navy corduroys while Isabelle showed off her bump in a figure-hugging red floral gown and white sandals.
Soon-to-be mum Isabelle shared a series of snaps of the couple enjoying a getaway as she told her followers: ‘In our Mum & Dad Era.’

Mike’s Emmerdale co-stars appear to be thrilled for him over the news, with many of them taking to the comment section of Isabelle’s post to congratulate the pair.
Michelle Harwick wrote: ‘Absolutely beautiful,’ while Anthony Quinlan penned: ‘Loads of love and congratulations.’
Brad Riches quipped: ‘Mum and dad are hella sexy.’ Hollyoaks’ Roxanne McKee also got in on the action, saying: ‘Awwww just GAWJUS!!’
Mike revealed he was in a happy relationship last October, but kept Isabelle’s identity a secret at the time. He told The Mirror: ‘I’m in a very happy relationship. She’s amazing and has been very supportive.’

There have been plenty of big changes happening in Mike’s life recently, as he reprised his role on Emmerdale at the end of 2024. He played the role of a charismatic villain, Ross Barton, from 2013 until 2018 before making a return.
Of his return, Michael said: ‘I’m over the moon to be returning to Emmerdale. Ross is a character I’m extremely fond of, and I’m excited to explore what he’s been up to over the past five years.
‘After seeing the scripts, I can’t wait for the audience to see what’s in store. One thing I can say is Ross’s return will no doubt create fireworks.’
