The 49-year-old This Morning star bravely opened up about the incident in her page-turner You’ve Got To Laugh: Stories from a Life Lived to the Full, which you can order from Amazon.
At the time, Alison was pregnant with her son Aiden, now 19, and was browsing the supermarket aisles with her back-then hubby Noureddine Boufaied.
Warning her former partner to not make any silly jokes, Alison said: ”Listen, I’m not messing around.
”I’ve got a weak bladder because I’m pregnant, so don’t make me laugh while we’re in here because I will wet myself.”
Moments later, however, her worst fear came true, as the couple ”started giggling about something”.
”I wet myself and left a trail behind in Asda,” said Alison, who was left mortified by the incident.
I was so embarrassed about it

”It was awful. I was so embarrassed about it,” she shared the story in the book.
Furious at her ex-husband, Alison says she scolded him “crossly”: ”I told you not to make me laugh.”
“Then I started laughing all over again,” she added.
But although at the time the moment couldn’t have been any more embarrassing, it cheered her up when it was time to give birth, back in 2005.
When the surgeon came to see her, Alison reminisced, she was ”still smiling at the memory”.

Earlier this year, in April, Aiden, now 19, landed a new job following in Alison’s showbiz footsteps.
Aiden took to Instagram to proudly announce that he will be playing at his first-ever festival this summer as a DJ.
Posting a snap of him behind the decks, the lookalike son wrote: “I AM PLAYING AT MY FIRST EVER FESTIVAL @campbestival.
“I will be playing on Saturday 27th of July in the Bollywood tent from 7-8pm so if you like house music get your tickets and come see me play big thanks to @campbestival.”
Many fans rushed to the comments to share the love and praise him for the massive achievement.
