Last year, in an exclusive interview with The Sun, The Voice host revealed that season four of the show would be returning.

She explained at the time: “I hope so, yeah, absolutely.

“That is still very much part of my life, it’s just fitting it in, really. It takes a long time, and it’s a really intense period of time.”

Filming for the six-part observational docu-series will be commencing at the end of January and will take over four months to wrap up.

Moving to a different hospital offers new challenges and opportunities for Emma as she undertakes the required training for her hospital role.

In season one, fans of the show witnessed the TV personality training to be a naternity care assistant at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2018.

She continued to work and strive in the busy maternity ward during seasons two and three, with a three-year gap in between due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2022, viewers witnessed Emma’s last shift, where she worked on the ward and in the local community, supporting pregnant mothers and families.

Speaking about the upcoming series, the 47-year-old star said: “It feels great to be returning to the maternity ward as maternity support worker. I have a nervous excitement about continuing my training at a brand-new hospital, which means a totally new ward and team to learn from and work alongside.

“It’s always an honour and privilege to gain an insight into the incredible role maternity care teams play in such an emotional and vulnerable time for expectant parents.

“My love and thanks go to everyone at the Princess Alexandra Hospital who have been a vital part of this adventure so far.

“They’re a special bunch, and I’ll miss them very much… I can’t wait to get stuck in at a new hospital for what is sure to be another amazing opportunity to shine a light on one of the toughest but most rewarding vocations.

When asked about the show being filmed in Watford General, Kelly McGovern, chief nurse for West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, told the Watford Observer: “We are honoured to have Emma Willis join us to highlight the exceptional dedication of maternity staff across the trust and the compassionate care they provide to parents and newborns.

“We look forward to sharing our unique story with a wider audience, showcasing the remarkable moments that unfold within the heart of our maternity ward and the care we provide in the community.”

Emma Willis: Delivering Babies will air on W and UKTV Play later this year, with all previous series currently available to stream for free on UKTV Play.
