Holly Willoughby has been married to husband Dan Baldwin for over a decade and says he is the one person who can always put her in a good mood, even while in the middle of a disagreement

Holly Willoughby, known for her roles on shows such as Dancing On Ice, This Morning, and Celebrity Juice, has enjoyed a successful stint on television.
Off-screen though, it is her husband, TV producer Dan Baldwin, who keeps her grounded with his sense of humour, especially when the pressures mount or when she’s at risk of becoming too self-important.
In her book Reflections, Holly shared, “My husband makes me laugh all the time,” revealing Dan’s knack for lightening the mood. “He’s the master of defusing situations by reminding us both of the funny side.”
Even during disagreements, Dan’s humour works wonders for the couple: “If we’re having a disagreement about something, he can derail me and send me into giggles by saying something, and before you know it, the issue doesn’t seem quite so serious and we can resolve it with a more level head.”

Unlike Holly, TV producer Dan is rarely in the limelight
Holly also credits Dan’s comical approach as a great asset for family life with their three children, Harry, Belle, and Chester.
Holly and Dan’s partnership began when they met on ITV’s Ministry of Mayhem back in the early 2000s; they tied the knot in 2007. Holly has been candid about the realities of marriage, saying, “Marriage is something we have to work at.”, reports the Mirror.
She doesn’t shy away from asserting that anyone who believes marriage is easy without effort is mistaken, but she also notes that it shouldn’t be overly challenging, highlighting the impact of tiredness on a relationship.

Holly shared some heartwarming insights about her relationship with Dan, openly expressing their deep connection: “I mean obviously I really love Dan. We really have a good laugh together and I don’t want to sound like a massive cliché but we get on really well… I rely on him for a lot of stuff. I think we just work better as a pair.”
The proposal story is one that stands out, as Dan chose an unexpectedly intimate moment, catching Holly completely off-guard. Reflecting on that special time, she said: “I know a lot of people almost have to force their boyfriend to propose but with Dan it was such a shock.”
Diving deeper into the emotional aspects of the proposal, Holly added: “I knew I’d be with him for the rest of my life, if he’d have me, but nothing can ever prepare you for what it’s like when someone asks you. I can’t think of any other big decision you make in your life that quickly.”
