Emily in Paris heads to Venice, Italy in the first preview of Lily Collins, Ashley Park and more in season five of the hit Netflix series, set to premiere Dec. 18.

Netflix has revealed the first look at season five of Emily in Paris, which teases Lily Collins‘ titular character exploring Venice, Italy for the very first time.
In several photosâreleased Aug. 20âCollins’ Emily is dressed to the nines while touring the European hot spot’s canal waterways on one of their famous gondolas, but also on foot as she takes in the iconic scenery.
It also appears Emily’s romance with love interest Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini) is going strong (for now) after her breakups from Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). The two are seen horseback riding and getting close while taking a romantic stroll together.
Of course, Emily’s BFF Mindy (Ashley Park) and work family Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Luc (Bruno Gouery) and Julien (Samuel Arnold) are also back for both personal and professional support.
As for what drama fans can expect from season five, Netflix teased in their preview, “Now the head of Agence Grateau Rome, Emily faces professional and romantic challenges as she adapts to life in a new city. But just as everything falls into place, a work idea backfires and the fallout cascades into heartbreak and career setbacks.”
However, it doesn’t sound like Emily remains in Rome for long.
“Seeking stability, Emily leans into her French lifestyle,” the press release continued, “until a big secret threatens one of her closest relationships. Tackling conflict with honesty, Emily emerges with deeper connections, renewed clarity and a readiness to embrace new possibilities.”
The photos also give fans a preview of the show’s first season since star Camille Razat exited the series early this year following season four.

“After an incredible journey, Iâve made the decision to step away from Emily in Paris,â Razatâwho played Gabriel’s former love interest Camilleâwrote in an April 23 Instagram post alongside photos of her and her former castmates on set. “It has been a truly wonderful experience, one filled with growth, creativity, and unforgettable memories.”
The 31-year-old went on to express gratitude for Netflix, Paramount and Emily in Parisâ creator Darren Star.
“For their trust and for giving me the opportunity to bring Camille to life,” Razat added, “and leaving the door open for her return, as she will always be a part of Emily In Paris world.”
