It’s likely not the update fans hoped for, but Greg Gutfeld has finally made a return to social media after welcoming his first child aged 60.
On Christmas Day, the Fox News star took to his Instagram to share a handful of festive posts with his 541k followers.
The first upload was an adorable snap of his beloved French bulldog, Gus, chilling on the couch. Along with it, Greg penned: “As usual, he got me nothing for Christmas. Although he left something that looks like coal in the middle of the living room.”
A few hours later, Greg shared a video of him and Gus taking a festive walk in the snow.
Gus looked ever so cute in a little black coat as he excitedly sniffed and ran around while Greg narrated: “Oh, he’s happy. Look at him go up the hill.

“This is good, probably good for me too,” the TV host added.
However, Greg captioned the post: “Upstate sick as a dog. Not this dog. He’s doing fine,” seemingly insinuating that he wasn’t feeling too well.
Despite Greg’s worrying update, fans were thrilled to see him active on his social media. In the comment section, fan @lucysanders2962 gushed: “So hearing your voice made me teary, hearing your news about a baby brought tears, watching The Five’s Christmas exchange today brought tears, and so I say.
“Congratulations to you, Elena, & Gus on your baby, so very happy for you all. But, I know I’m not the only one who misses you terribly:) We need you to come back please.”

A second person @gae_special echoed: “Congratulations! Happy healthy new year. Please come back really soon. Show is just not the same without you.”
With user @eyepatch2008 writing: “Merry Christmas! I hope you feel better. Enjoy that new baby! They really will grow up so fast. And get back to work. We miss you.”
And @carolewoosley said: “Merry Christmas and Congratulations on your newest addition to the family! Lack of sleep as a new parent is probably why you are sick! New parents lose an average of 750 hours of sleep in the first year of having the baby!”
As fans pointed out, Greg has been missing from The Five and Gutfeld! for quite a few weeks after he welcomed his first child, a baby girl named Mira, with his wife Elena, 42.
The news was confirmed by his co-hosts Jesse Watters and Dana Perino live on air earlier this month.
It’s not clear when Greg will return to the network, but he is expected to return sometime in the new year.
