Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has welcomed a baby with his significantly younger wife, Elena Moussa – and his guests have been mocking the new 60-year-old father.
During the airing of an episode of The Five it was announced that Gutfeld had become a dad, and on his show “Gutfeld,” stand-in host Kat Timpf confirmed the news as her panel joked about his introduction to fatherhood.
Gutfeld is a key show on the network, hosting a comedic spin on the news where he has debates and conversations with like-minded-right wing guests in a more loose setting than hard news.
On the show, guests made fun of Gutfeld having a child at such a late stage in life.
“It is the best time to have a kid when you’re 60,” actor and former pro wrestler Tyrus said. “He can use the time he has got left so he is not going to miss the first steps and the baseball games.”
“Granted being at 60, it is not a long marathon,” he added.
Lisa ‘Kennedy’ Montgomery joked that Greg would have sore nipples for a bit, while Brian Kilmeade bodly stated: “I have a fear he is going to be a terrible parent.”
Since his weeks-long absence, Dana Perino has hosted the show, and she released a statement on Gutfeld’s behalf.
“This is a statement that he sent me today. So I’m reading this as if I’m Greg,” she continued before relaying the message to viewers.
“It is with great joy that my wife Elana and I have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Mira is healthy with a real set of lungs.”
Greg and Elena met in London while she was working as a photo editor for a men’s magazine, Maxim. He was the U.K. edition’s editor from 2004 to 2006.
The couple got married in 2004 and relocated to New York City.
