River Nene search for missing Declan Berry towards Guyhirn
Searches for a missing 18-year-old after the car they were travelling in entered the River Nene, near Wisbech, have moved towards Guyhirn, police have confirmed.
Emergency services, including police, fire crews and NPAS are scouring the riverbank as the search for Declan Berry enters its seventh day.
Declan Berry still remains “unaccounted for” after the blue VW Polo he is believed to have been driving entered the River Nene on North Brink on March 17.
There were five teenagers in the car at the time, with three taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn.
Tragically, the body of a 16-year-old Eden Bunn was recovered from the vehicle on March 18.
Officers, with the support of specialist divers, recovered the car on Sunday (March 22) but no other individuals were found inside.
This is a developing story and will be updated with the latest information as soon as it becomes available.
