Second memorial ride held in honor of 12-year-old found dead in New Britain
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — A second memorial ride was held in honor of 12-year-old Jacqueline “Mimi” Torres-Garcia on Saturday in New Britain.
Her body was found outside an abandoned New Britain home earlier this month.

The ride began at the AMC Theatre in New Britain before ending on Clark Street, outside the building where Mimi’s remains were found.
“People just feel like the child, what she suffered from, no one was there to help because no one knew what was going on,” a participant said. “With all of the support, if someone knew what was going on this wouldn’t be here right now.”
This was the second memorial ride in two days. On Friday, people from all over the region took part in a memorial ride.
The investigation into Mimi’s death is ongoing. Her mother Karla Garcia, aunt Jackelyn Garcia and Karla Garcia’s boyfriend Jonatan Nanita are facing charges related to her death.
