It’s D-Day for Kyle Sandilands who is sweating on news from KIIS FM on the future of his $100 million radio gig with a decision due at any moment on his contract.
Appearing outside his Sydney house on Tuesday, Sandilands said he had not heard anything from KIIS FM parent company ARN about whether they would terminate his contract for inappropriate conduct.
“I still want to do the show. The listeners want me back on there doing the show,” Sandilands told reporters.
“I’ve got a contract with ARN, and I expect them to honour that.”
Some have suggested he buy the radio station, which has a market cap of about $106 million, to get out of the bind.
When asked about this potential move, Sandilands responded: “There are many options, that’s all I can say.”
Bound for judging commitments with Seven Network’s Australian Idol, a live show at Rooty Hill on Tuesday night, the radio juggernaut remains in limbo with his other employer.

Sandilands and manager Bruno Bouchet arrived at West HQ in Rooty Hill on Tuesday night for Australian Idol, making their way straight to the set inside.
ARN is due to make an announcement on Tuesday on the future of its biggest star, but some sources say it could be delayed until after Australian Idol airs to avoid Sandilands erupting on air.
Earlier on Tuesday, Sandilands was holed up with manager Bouchet plotting their future while his wife Tegan came and went.
Up the road, his former co-host Jackie O Henderson left home without a word. Her contract has already been terminated.
According to lawyers, Sandiland’s contract is headed in the same direction.
“Kyle will consider his legal options, which will presumably include legal action against ARN,” Swaab Lawyers’ Michel Byrnes said.
When asked if it’s all over with KIIS, Sandilands replied: “I can’t predict anything yet mate, sorry.”
Sandilands has previously denied he breached his contract by criticising co-host Henderson on-air on February 20.
But ARN suspended the controversial host on March 3 and said he had 14 days to remedy the breach, meaning a decision on whether he will return to the airwaves is expected on Tuesday.

The friction between the hosts stemmed from Sandilands berating Henderson during a live broadcast, where he criticised her after she looked into Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s horoscope.
“You’re off with the fairies … every segment, every time you’ve spoken, you don’t even know what’s going on,” Sandilands said in his rant.
“You’re not doing the rest of the job and everyone in this building has mentioned it to me.”
ARN said in a statement to the ASX on March 3 that Henderson gave notice she could no longer work with her co-host and it considered Sandilands’ comments a breach of his agreement with the company.
The Sydney ratings darlings are in the second year of a decade-long, $200 million contract which coincided with a poorly received entry into the Melbourne radio market.
On Monday, the now-dormant show was hit with new licence terms should it return to the air.
Repeated decency breaches prompted the media regulator to order ARN to ensure no offensive or explicit sexual content went to air on the show.
