A Good Morning Britain presenter has revealed that she secretly split from her ex-husband 12 years ago while seven months pregnant.
Ranvir Singh, 46, confirmed the split from former husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal in 2020, just before she took part in Strictly Come Dancing that year.
However, it seems the couple had actually separated many years before the public knew about it, and all while Ranvir was seven months pregnant.
The journalist and TV presenter, who is mum to 12-year-old son Tushaan, said she was now ready to talk about her experiences from over a decade ago.
‘I have actually been a single mum since I was 7 months pregnant. I’ve kept that so quiet but I am okay to talk about it now,’ she told Kate Thornton’s White Wine Question Time podcast.
‘Now I’m at a point in my life where I think that I’m learning to embrace my whole life and to not compartmentalise it as much, to keep everything separate. And that’s a me thing.’

She concluded her story by saying: ‘I’m happy to correct it today. Obviously my friends and family have known. It shows you can keep private whatever you choose to!’
For four years Ranvir has been dating 28-year-old boyfriend Louis Church, whom she met backstage while competing on Strictly Come Dancing.
While competing on the dancing competition, Ranvir made it through Blackpool and finished fifth after being eliminated in the semi-final.
That year the competition was won by musical comedian Bill Bailey, but Ranvir didn’t need to win for Strictly Come Dancing to change her life for the better.

Speaking to Woman & Home in 2023, she said: ‘I don’t see an age gap. What really matters in any kind of relationship in life is a synchronicity of values and emotions.
‘I don’t know why we’re so obsessed with the age gap. As we are, right now, we are blissfully happy and Louis lives very much in the present.’

In 2021, the couple announced that they had already been dating for several months, with a source telling The Sun that the couple were meant to be.
‘Ranvir and Louis have been dating for a few months and are totally in love, she has met his family and went to his aunt’s wedding with him last week.
‘They’ve kept their romance out of the spotlight but when Ranvir was invited to go to a music event at O2 she wanted to go with Louis and her son.
‘They both are clearly madly in love and were holding hands nearly all day. They have incredible chemistry. Ranvir was beaming with happiness as she watched Louis and Tushaan together.’
Watch Good Morning Britain on ITV. 6am, Monday to Friday.
