ITV This Morning presenter Ben Shephard was joined by Cat Deeley as they announced a ‘This Morning exclusive’ on the show – with a reunion that has officially been confirmed

This Morning viewers were treated to an energetic start on Thursday (February 27) as Ben Shephard, alongside co-host Cat Deeley, teased “news just in” at the top of the show. The studio was abuzz with excitement as the duo dropped an exclusive teaser about their upcoming schedule, which promised a segment with 90s hitmakers Five, who are set to announce their reunion after a lengthy 25-year break.
Cat couldn’t contain her enthusiasm and broke out into some nostalgic dance moves, prompting a playful exchange with Ben who questioned: “Is that what they did?” To which she confidently replied: “It’s what they did in my head.”
Ben then shared the thrilling update: “Exciting news just in, it was revealed this morning that British boyband Five are back.
“25 years since the band last performed together and Abs, Jay, Ritchie, Scott and Shaun will all be here to tell us everything about reuniting and their upcoming nationwide tour,” Cat chimed in.
The pair also took a trip down memory lane, recalling when Cat presented Five with their first-ever Brit Award, a moment filled with smiles and nostalgia. Fans who had been left heartbroken when the band stepped away from their chart-topping success over two decades ago were surely elated by the news, reports the Express.
“Am I right in saying that you Cat Deeley gave them their Brit Award, for best pop act?” Ben asked his co-star live on air, as she reminisced about the proud moment she shared with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, her smile as bright as ever.
Fans are in for a treat this autumn as a comeback tour is now on the cards, with fans set to bask in old-school hits such as If Ya Gettin’ Down, Everybody Get Up, and When The Lights Go Out, according to Wales Online. The nostalgia-infused journey will start on a high note in Brighton on the eerily fitting night of Friday, October 31, 2025.
The much-anticipated tour will be a rollercoaster ride, hitting the stage in cities including Bournemouth, Cardiff, Nottingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Newcastle, Aberdeen, and Glasgow, wrapping up at London’s The O2. For those keen on securing their spots early, presale tickets are expected to go on sale next Thursday, March 6.
The excitement isn’t just limited to Cat; the buzz has spread across social media with fans expressing frenzy over the news. On Five’s official page, one thrilled fan posted, “YES! Did anyone else wake up today with this feeling, that better things were coming their way? #5ive#5ivereunion#Five.”
Another supporter barely kept it together: “ITS HAPPENING @itsfiveofficial #Fivereunion,” and one even stated their early dedication: “Its five official, awake since 5am waiting for the 8am reveal/announcement #five #5ive.”
